Currently I'd say Lara is one of the biggest. Molina is up there IMO as is Kotelnik, Matthyse, Tarver and B-hop too an extent.

In history the likes of Jimmy Young and Winky that have all ready been mentioned came too mind straight away.

Edit: Also Afolabi at cruiserweight is a pretty good one aswell, although im hoping he gets the victory that he deserves in the Huck rematch.

If you caught Mo Harris on a good night he could be very dangerous... with little to no reward.

    Others?

Bert Cooper, Micky Ward, Emanuel Augustus, Buck Smith

Watson was no high risk/low return fighter. He had terrestrial (network) exposure from Lee onwards, and after the Benn fight was arguably second only to Bruno in popularity amongst active British fighters.

The Eubank/Watson fights were sold on the promotion of both fighters, not just Eubank. Watson was money as much as nearly any other fighter in the late 80s/early 90s and a good name on the resume too boot.

This is a misconception, both turned down career high money against big names due to bad management. Marquez turned down Hamed and an immediate Pacquaio remtach. Winky turned down Delahoya (for 6million) and a Taylor rematch

    Marquez turned down Hamed?

By the way I also remember you said Hopkins avoided R.Johnson.

Can you elaborate on that, PP?

He was offered the fight in place of Sanchez or Bungu by all accounts, as were Barrera/Morales. His apologists claim the money was too low, it is a business after all but he wasn't quite as avoided as made out. Hamed is made out as an avoider of big names but Morales could have easily accepted a JMM fight though but didn't. It's a good thing Pacquaio let Marquez get his shot, if he signed with Arum earlier Marquez would be largely unknown today

Most of the names mentioned on this thread are star fighters, big marquee names.
