Abril is garbage and a spoiling ******, rios is over rated and an action fighter far from elite, boxing business continues to be garbage, end thread.

 

Abrils style is garbage but effective in beating Rios. Just like Molina was looking ugly in there against Kirkland but as long as the ref wasn't taking points away they both were going to continue to do what they were doing.

Rios and his team are idiots for trying to continue to campaign at 135. Rios just couldn't deal with the style and didn't bring a plan B.

Abril won, garbage style or not he won.

Molina held a bit excessively that ONE night, against Kirkland. (but still did very effective work between holding)

Abril is a shitty-to-watch spoiler every night.

 

Abril clearly won last night by landing the more clean effective punches and ring generalship. He effectively used Rios' aggression against him and controlling the distance. The only thing i did not like was how comfortable and relaxed Abril looked. He should have been lighting Rios up. Sitting down on more punches and letting his hands go more. Snap Rios head back. Step on the gas and make it look like a beat down. As a fighter you should be aware that robberies can happen especially when you are a no namer going against an undefeated future star like Rios. And so you should take that chance away from the judges. He could have put a beating on Rios but instead chose to make him look silly with a smirk on his face all night.

All in all Abril outclassed Rios. Brandon couldnt break through Abril's defense whatsoever. Couldnt throw a jab. Couldnt create lateral movement or create any space for his punches. Abril either stayed out of reach or stayed close in a philly shell while coming forward, staying close and smothering Rios' punches. The holding didnt make a difference. Just staying close in that shell made Rios look silly. Hopefully they both learned a lesson and become better fighters.

 

Mensah won his fight with Kats using similar tactics but minus the holding and running.This dude Abril should of stayed in the amateurs.

Yup, and he was getting caught at times... but he fought like a man and I enjoyed the fight... Obviously if he would have been a ***** and bending the rules mensah would have been holding and not getting caught a times.. but he used his philly shell and defense to great effect and may have won some fans instead of haters like abril did.

Exactly, Rios was there for the taking.... Abril could have punished him and walk him down, but instead he holds and spoils the night, all smiling and **** at his disgraceful performance... no need to clinch up, and run his philly shell was great to stand toe to toe and punish Rios..but instead we get a *****.

 

Abril still won the fight though. I gave Rios maybe 3 rounds. If that.

Abril definitely easily won that fight. I felt bad for him.
