:thumbsup Fury is perceived to be ducking Price so he will cop some stick for that. I take the view that Fury and his team see nothing in it for them in fighting Price. Fury is on the precipice of breaking onto the world scene, maybe via the EBU and he and his team understandably want opponents that build his name up (safely) to allow them to step up again when the right opportunity presents itself. Price is definitely 'high risk, low reward'. Some posters who might refuse to accept that would rather build Price up into a 'monsterous world beater' because either they do not like Fury or they do not like the part 'boxing politics' has played in an obviously calculated move by him and his team. I just accept it for what it is :bbb
Fury thinking he has the boxing skills of Leonard with dynamite in both hands!!!! Hennessy is a fat waster too comparing him to contenders and no mention of him ducking price!!!! What a joke
I suspect Fury will next fight Sexton if he loses to Price. That said, I don't think Channel 5 really care who Fury fights so long as the ratings are good. Last night's show was entertaining if not brilliant, not long to go now until the next card on the 12th May.
except fury isnt half as boring and isnt fighting for nonsense belts (depending on your viws of the irish title :yep)
I'm disappointed by the channel politics but I am a fan of C5 production. Main event first, decent production, Yank Al etc all does well.
I meant, as in fighting an international, world ranked opponent, which he is yet to do. I appreciate that he has fought Chisora but Chisora's standing was enhanced greatly after being jobbed by Helenius.
Roy Jones used to get it right with the cup. If I can't see your belly button then it is cheating. This content is protected
According to Ron Lewis channel 5 have given Mick four dates before the summer break. They are: May 12, June 2, June 30 and July 14.
Kid Galahad/Eubank Jr are fighting on May 12, Tyson Fury is fighting on June 30th- so who will be fighting on June 2nd and July 14th? Who is in Henessey's stable/unattached at the moment?
By the look of Mick Hennessy I don't think he'll live long enough to fulfill those dates. I thought he was going to drop dead during the interview last night. July 14th could be live coverage of his funeral. Mick needs to get in shape.
The good thing for Mick is that channel 5 only have a short broadcast so he doesn't need a stacked card. Decent main event and Eubank Jr is all that is required. I'm sure that Kid Galahad, Fury and Eubank Jr will be very active I'm. Mick also has John O Donnell and Junior Witter. Channel 5 are clearly happy with the service. It's looks like they will get behind boxing.
