It should be like Union where when its kicked and goes over the dead ball line, the opposition get it from where it was kicked.
The dragons are effective but they are making the game boring, I hate watching them play.

Yes. It's a stupid rule. If you put in a great touch finder that lands 1 meter out from the tryline, you only get a 10 meter advantage than if you simply kicked the ball dead in the ingoal. Even then, you have all your defensive line set, and not just the backs like you would in a scrum.

It's a shame, because the Dragons of the late 90's and early 00's (yes, the Mundine era;)) were very exciting to watch. Blacklock was an entertainment machine and the backline had speed to burn and were quite skillful.
It would have been frustrating for their fans though, as they were unable to play like that week in week out, but boy it was entertaining.

Yes I think the the game needs to look at that. Maybe say any kick beyond 30 metres out which goes dead is a restart to the opposition from where the kick was.

To often kicking it dead from distance is the easy option.

    His reasoning is just.

He says he is going to be loyal to the country that taught him about Rugby League.

He also wanted to play on the biggest stage possible, being State of Origin.

Meh, another good 2nd rower for NSW that probably won't get a chance.

Then why play for NZ Maori, Junior Kiwis and join the Kiwi training squad?

just for some parity concerning the kiwi team

Josh Hoffman has never lived a day in NZ but qualifies under parent rule
Nathan Cayless captained NZ under same rule
Nathan Fien qualifies as a NZ resident

You mean like Gerard Beale? Who played for Australia in the Under 20's but would never get a look in the Australian side so he jumped ship to New Zealand with not one word said in the media.

That boy is one overrated chap.

Jason Taumalolo has the right idea, he has stated he would love to play for Qld but would hate taking the spot of an actual queenslander so he stuck with the Kiwis. One ****ing mean unit of a player too

I'm indifferent to it all because the selection criteria for Rep has been rediculous for decades.
