    larry holmes v Rocky Pepeli

entertaining fight i was hoping for holmes to get ko'd but there was no chance.
A lot of talking between the fighters when the fight was in progress lol
A Nasty cut with no blood on farm boy pepeli stopped it early.

I did watch the Holyfield vs Bowe Legendary Nights thing, but I doubt that Evander actually had a heart attack in the ring (although if he did, he did OK I guess :p).

While I was waiting for last night's fights to be uploaded, I watched Pacquiao vs Sánchez from 2001. I had it 57-55 I believe at the time of the stoppage and to be honest, Pacquiao was robbed. I mean, Sánchez needs to win five out of six just to win the fight due to the point deductions, but that clearly didn't happen.

Pacquiao fought on some good cards to get some exposure on moving to the US - PPV undercard of De La Hoya vs Castillejo and Lewis vs Tyson, as well as a co-feature on the Mayweather vs Chávez card.

    Wilfredo Gomez v Lupe Pintor

Been watching a few of gomez's fights the way he dealt with zarate was BRUTAL.I didnt know the result of this fight v pintor which made it better.i thought 3 rounds here all over but i was wrong and had pintor building up a big lead and thought gomez was tiring and the eye was worsening every second but all those right hands told in the end. They must have used make up in pintor's corner!A GREAT GREAT FIGHT

Wilfredo Gomez is a bad mother****er

Post-Sanchez, Gomez abandoned his brilliant ring generalship and was a lot mote gung-Ho, which led to this great fight but also Gomez never reaching the status he talent looked like it would attain.

Still, the finish here is ridiculous. Two mobsters here, and Gomez demonstrates his amazing accuracy, combination punching and punch picking in the finish. Wastes Pintor. 14th round IIRC. Ace.

    Mayweather v Castillo I

I scored it a draw and if there was a winner it was Castillo for me, how were the scorecards so wide? I've never seen mayweather as distressed under pressure as he was in the middle rounds.

Might watch the 2nd fight before bed.

Ha no just with reading the mayweather thread today and them fights are just before I got into boxing. I'd read about how he 'lost' against Castillo so I thought I'd have a look. The second just to see what changed.

It was a tough, competitive fight. Do you go for Mayweather's accuracy and quality, or Castillo's aggression?

I scored it a draw as well, though Floyd did have a bad shoulder.

I thought the rematch was a decent fight, Castillo gave him problems in both
