Ok. So if he wins this fight at age 47 you shouldn't have a problem with it, even it's a close fight.:good
I am here baby, just that I got some problems with my PC and this is no way-out of of the debate like you and most others suppose Hopkins found a way-out of his first encounter with this fella, Chad Dawson. I didn't attempt to outhink you and prove any superiority cause I am like Hopkins, I am past my forties believe it or not. I have nothing to prove and I will not accept your bet for two reasons: I don't want you to ban yourself from this Forum and I don't want to keep my mouth shut for 3 months, either way it doesn't prove anything... I am pretty confident your slow mover, lanky and rangy LHWT from Conn. will drag himself and will be ashamed to realize that he cannot download his supposedly "boxings skills" on that 46 years old man he said Jean lost twice to... Guess what? He won't be able to do anything either and you know why? Cause Bernard doesn't want this to be his last fight and when a man is on a track and close to accomplish that goal, it is not a mentally weak and motivationally lazy 29 year older who can avoid this... No emotion here, just cold minded and straight, short speech - Hopkins will not get tagged with anything significant as long as he keeps moving smoothly and always thinking and playing tricks... And believe me, Chad, your Chad will get spent by chasing like he's a Calzaghe or something and that's when the counters will find their target more consistently and clearly, not in those early rounds when the youngster is alert and pumped up. The reason Hopkins cannot stay and trade is obvious. He has said so that he cannot play Dawson's game and fight like he is rematching with Segundo Mercado. He cannot come and jab Chad away like against Jean Pascal in the center of the ring and standing still cause those are two different styles and two different solutions to beat two different animals, no matter what displeases whoever. Even in the rematch, Jean won most probably the earlier rounds but then at about round four, str8 rights and left leads, counter jabs and inside punches found their way home so do not get surprised to see Chad get massively embarrased... Quiet and head down... You probably don't need to get embarrased cause you are most possibly a nice fella who's just interested in proving his thing ( without thinking in any other scenario). But, baby, I am watching this from the times Spinks was a LHWT... Hopkins is a once-in-a lifetime specimen, xtremelly poised, balanced, fundamentally sound, technically superb, still hungry and angry, but most important of all, improvationally smart and a natural on real time and who is he against April 28th? That's right - Chad Dawson who only looks like a wanna be... Hopkins UD.

And he does this by clever movement and rough house tactics, and when his oponents are reseting..? he gets off his work. This works against One demensional fighters like Felix Trindad..? or Kelly Pavlik..? But it does not work against athletic fighters who have above average ring IQ'S..? And Chad Dawson is one of them guys. Its game, set and match for Chad Dawson. Its game over for Bernard Hopkins. That is all.
You want it bad that Chad was a boxer with one above average ring IQ to match with one of the best of them all but one thing is to wish for, another thing is reality. You have said some things that seem rational in Bernard's strategy in my opinion. So Chad is going to reset fast and close Bernard in ther corners and against the ropes to unleash powerpunches from leftfield? LOL. The Gospel of today talks about seeing to believe and either you or I need to see that... Long legged, long armed, lazy fighter and suspect chin boxer Chad. LOL.
Its Dawsons fight on the outside imo. Hopkins lost to Taylor because and Calzaghe cause he tried to exist on the outside on his counter punching opportunities alone. Taylor didn't give him any crumbs because he maintained distance and stayed on the jab. Calzaghe shut those opportunities down by adapting. He started cutting the ring off and showing more patience instead of following him around trying to come in too fast and getting nailed. Dawson has superior hand-speed. He will maintain distance and put his punches together at SPEED, which is what will make it hard for Hopkins to find the transition for his counter in-between Dawson's attacks imo. I see Hopkins having to get inside and drag Dawson into a dog fight, only I dont think he's got the stamina for that. IMO his only hope is to see if he can rattle Dawson and make him lose his cool. See if he can drag him into one of those foul filled affairs he's been in before. That might help break up Dawson's rhythm and make him get away from his advantages.
Hopkins can drag him into a foul filled affair..? You mean a fight...? What the ****s a foul filled affair..? this is all ****ing bull****. I have never seen Dawson, not want to fight...? Oh wait lets criticise him for being in a fouled filled affair..? and actually throwing some punches..? instead of holding, and throwing single shots and following up with the head..? like Bernard Hopkins. When it comes to Bernard Hopkins and anything technical, its all fabricated bull**** these days. His ability and skills are completely overrated. April 28th, its game over.
