    @Atritionist

    Mi hermano, la gente que votó por Rios no quieren admitir que un Cubanito " desconocido " le enseñó como se boxea y lo hizo lucir como un niño inofensivo. I just wish I could see who voted for Rios, para asi saber en un futuro con quien hablo. The fans that voted for Rios should be banned for life, period.

    If I was Mexican I would just come forward and admit that Abril beat him fare and square with no excuses. Everyone knows that my favorite fighters are Gamboa and Rigo but if one day they were to be completely outboxed and looked foolish like Rios did I will admit that they lost. I just couldn't lie to myself by backing them up, but so far none of them have lost.

    :cool:

    Wow, how can you say that? Rios hardly hit Abril " cleanly " with anything and Abril managed to win every single round with clean face shots, body punching and with his long jab! Buddy, when you hear all the commentators saying " Abril took Rios to school " even Raul Marquez who is Mexican then you know what really happened!

    The polls don't lie and it's not just here on ESB, they are all the same on all major boxing sites!

    ;)

    Los que votaron para La Momia Mejicana ( Rios ) son bobos que no entienden el deporte. o son gente con tanto orgullo que no pueden admitirlo aunque lo saben. y tambien creo que ay uno que simplemente odian el boxeo Cubano. No puedo pensar en otra razon en que uno podra votar por La Momia.

    No worries I'm Mexican, but I tell it how it is my friend. I had picked Rios to win by eventualy catching Abril after applying contstant pressure and knocking him out. I have no problem whatsoever admiting I was wrong and giving credit to Abril for making Rios look like a fool.

    Peace

    Rios
    Campanillo
    The Kirkland fiasco the other week

    have cumatively turned me from a big boxing fan to, from last Saturday on, a casual observer. It cannot be allowed to continue and happen time and time again. If boxing cannot be a fair and even contest where everything comes down to the two guys in the ring and nothing in between them to interfere, it is nothing. I have tolerated the nasty characters, the unsrupulous promoters and the disgusting ticket prices. I've put up with fellas not fighting one another when if this was the 1950s they'd have fought five times by now, and I've tolerated no-one knowing who the **** the world champ is because there are three dozen belts per division, but this is the last straw. Boxing is clearly not serious about cleaning up its own backyard and I for one am no longer prepared to spend money, time and energy as a devotee of it. Thanks, boxing, for the good times.

    Zopi, pues te felicito por tener el valor de decir la verdad. Creo que tu y Atritionist son posiblemente los únicos Mexicanos aqui con valor, dignidad y corage! Orale!

    Un saludo!

    Funniest thing is that I fully expected him to get robbed while waiting for them to announce the decision. Those things are so common lately that I'm not even outraged anymore. Just part of boxing I guess.

    weight had nothing to do with it either....they could fight at 147 and same result......Rios just has no brain and no ability to cope with any B Level technician that has one. Abrils a better boxer.... that's the problem....imagine what an A class boxer would do to Rios. damn son.

    Bad news, Mexicano is not spelled with a "j". "Mejicanos" is a little town in El Salvador. "Mexicano" is a Mexican.
