Like all fighters who peaked in that period, they have one thing in common! Jr didn't get in the ring with them Because he is a business man. ROFL

this was before williams fought anyone that could box!!! as soon as he did he got schooled by B level technician in Quintana then we get the Martinez fights and Lara fights further proving he can't deal with worldclass technicians.....Mayweather would have emabrassed him.

Pac is giving awyay about 2 ft in height for a start. And Floyd can't handle southpaws, not to mention a busy, iron chinned taller fighter.

Paul is very unpopular on these boards...

But the fact is, because he didn't have much of a following, Floyd, Cotto, and Mosely all refused to fight him. The only one who had the nuts to get in the ring was Margarito... And rather than avenge his loss to Paul, he tried to cherrypick Mosely.

So as ridiculous as this may sound to some people, the truth is we'll never know.

Yes, he laid a goose-egg against Quintana, but most people who bring up that fight seem to forget the second one.

He is 3-2 in those fights. Deal with it.

Mayweather is 0-0 in those same fights.

PW is one of my favorite fighters .... but his REFUSAL to address and correct his weaknesses ensure that he will never be an elite level fighter, let alone be a money-generating attraction. His rise to world champion was tremendously exciting and peaked around the Margarito win. After the loss to Quintana, improvements were needed, but have still not been implemented.

Paul is great, but to claim he is the best, in that weight class in that time range, is foolish.

After he beat Quintana in the rematch, Cotto, who all the emotional nuthuggers around here claimed to be the best at 147 refused to fight him. Margarito refused to give him a rematch. Shane said n thanks.

So the claim at 147 isn't foolish. It's just that so many people either refused to acknowledge or forgot just how systematically he was frozen out of the big fights by Arum... Yet... fans of these same fighters like to claim how Floyd was ducking people. Pot. Kettle.

I think it is possible, certainly with pac cause of the huge size differences.
