Broner vs Russell Jr

At 130, how do you see this fight?

 

either Russell out boxes and makes a fool out of Broner or Broner knocks Russell out due to his power and size.

then again, im not sure if Russell would outbox broner easily based on the fact that Broner is also quick and one hell of a counter puncher. from what i saw from the PDL fight, Broner might be the type to have trouble with southpaws and there arent many southpaws with the skill and handspeed of Russell.

this is definately a pick em fight and a dream fight. just what America needs down the line.

Broner-Russell > Bradley-Alexander

 

I'll take Broner by UD. Russell has more flaws in his fight game IMO. Very Very good, but not as skilled as Broner.

Technical fight IMO en route to a UD 8-4 7-5 7-5

Thanks but it will probably be fantasy matchup unfortunately, as there are bigger paydays at 135 for Da Brones.

I don't see Broner being able to reach Russell with counters because GR probably studies him and is able to gauge the distance and timing to just evade and then come in with his combinations. Kind of like a moving Cobra vs a stalking Mongoose.

 

too much of a size difference. Russel a better fighter tho. Broner is a floyd wannbe / homo.

Picked Broner, but it's good this fight won't happen for a while, if ever.

 

I was just about to post a poll myself on this one. Definately see this fight in the future after both guys have established themselves as stars. Not sure who would win right now but just thinking about it... I'd go with Broner right now only because of my avatar

 

Damn, I like both of them, but I really dig Russells fight game and speed a lot.

Gary has the clear advantage in pure handspeed, but I think Broners size and defense would help negate much of it. If I had to pick, it would be Broner UD. But my mind could change if I could see Russell in a fight where he doesn't completely dominate so I could make a better assessment of his other qualities.

 

Russell Jr by Decision, he doesn't have great power at the moment but to me, he is a future star ... Broners an also-ran.
