Do the Klitschko brothers recieve the most irrational hatred?

If you browse this forum you constantly see threads about the Klitschko brothers.

In a typical fantasy match up involving Wladimir, nearly half the posts will say something along the lines of "I think ______ gets to his chin and KO's him in 4". Nearly every thread even mentioning Wladimir says something along the lines of "glass jaw". Again, this is a guy who has never been cleanly KO'd, and hasn't been knocked down in a fight in about 8 years. Two of the TKO losses are clearly from gassing. His chin is AVERAGE. It's certainly not great, it's certainly not glass. Accept it.

Then we have Vitali. Again, in every fantasy match up involving Vitali half the posts will say something like "_______ would work him on the inside and bring too much pressure, _______ wins a wide UD or stops him on cuts." That's right, cuts! A lot of predicted outcomes for a fantasy fight involving Vitali are...you guessed it, defeating him via cuts - one of the rarest outcomes in boxing.

Last but not least, you have the idiots who make the claim that "Once the K-bros are gone the division will be better because fights will be closer. We will see slug fests again". Only in haterville does removing two HW ATG's from a division make it better.

Every fighter has detractors. People hate Floyd, sure, but they follow it up with "but I respect his skills". Yet dedicated haters attack everything about the Klitschko's. Wladimir wins gold? Ignore it. Wladimir dominates for 8 years? Weak era, contender at best in the 70's. Vitali shows unprecedented longevity? Roids.

I expect to see the usual tirade of haters (mostly british) in here trying to refute any logic presented -- and the tired excuse of "I only act like a ******ed hater because Klitschko fans are the worst!"

I can't remember and era when the top fighter(s) 2 in this case, rule with such authority over the division for so long.
Tyson had a stranglehold for about 4-5 yrs I think during the mid to late 80s and Lennox was pretty much top dog from 95-00, but the K2 have no co-champions, and no looming threats either.
It's not that the division was ever weak, no. It's because it's rulers are so strong.:deal

I think so. . . I can see the hate for Floyd, because he hits women, makes racist remarks, and is just an overall whiny, defensive poosy. . . But even most real boxing fans, like myself, still recognize, and appreciate his skills. . .

The Klitschkos do nothing to deserve hate. . . People are just mad there hasn't been a great black, American hope to emerge. . .

If you havnt realised by now,you need to go to a doctor. It's the over the top klitschko nut huggers that insist on making 100s of threads everyday about the same ****.
You will find that most people who put things like 'tko 6' are only doing it to shut the klittards up.
I like both brothers ,and watch all there fights ,but I don't make ridiculous claims about them,or any fighter.

 

It works both ways.

In my mind, the brothers receive too much adulation but also too much hatred. I try to be objective, but it's difficult when you have guys absolutely trashing past greats to make the Klitschko's look good.

I don't mind Vitali. I quite like the guy in fact. Wlad is just an exercise in frustration to watch.

 

Wlad is a great guy tbh, he's a class act always respectful and helps the needy etc. when talking about his boxing skills he's a dominant champion though I find him very boring to watch with his jab jab grab style I feel he could be shutting the show early againt most the guys he fights and I think his chin is still pretty crappy but overall I think Wlad fights the best heavies available to him and he deserves his respect despite his shortcomings it should also be noted that Wlad has a big heart in the ring aswell.

Now on to Vitali, this guy is a real disgrace he tries to play the nice guy like his brother but he's clearly full of **** as a fighter he's a whiny little ***** who failed to take the opportunity of a lifetime against Lennox Lewis and quit when the going got slightly tough againt Byrd to top it all off his disgraceful hypocritical actions against Solis were shocking and it showed just what a fraud he is. He needs retire as soon as possible so he can let his brother become undisputed champion.

 

I agree. The Brothers do get insane amounts of hate. Well, that's what you get when you're as successful as they. I mean, like, for the 100 or so fights between them, not once have they lost without controversy. That's quite an achievement.

Anyone with a brain can recognize they are both great fighters.

But the hate they receive comes from the fact that their irrational fans are the worst. And they are ALWAYS the first ones to bring their race into the conversation, yet call everyone else racists.

Overall I think they would be a tough fight for anyone in history. But I don't think they are the greatest HW fighters ever.

 

Also it's important to note the disgraceful amounts of racism many 'klit' fans on the internet show when talking about their them.
