Ya right. Dana's never bet on UFC fights. If he's doing this on camera (what an idiot) what is he doing with his high roller milion/billionaire buddies. It's already well-documented publicly that he is a whale in the private rooms at some Vegas casinos.

BTW - Dana's guest pre-fight in GSP's locker room at UFC 94 is Janet Gretzky, Wayne Gretzky's wife. Interestingly enough she was implicated as part of an illegal sports betting ring. This eventually saw her husband's assistant coach, & long-time NHL player, Rich Tocchet plead guilty to conspiracy and promoting illegal gambling charges along with a New York state police officer. Janet Gretzky avoided prosecution (some say as part of the other's plea deals( though it became public that she was a big time/big money sports better.

News media at the time public stories that said Janet was placing bets with Tocchet & company as well as taking bets on behalf of wealthy friends to place with the organization. It also came out that she had a long-time gambling problem and had lost at least a lot of money (million+) on sports betting.

Oh what a tangled web we weave Mr White.

As I will continue to say... These guys will bring their own house down upon themselves at some point. Every day that goes by that becomes nearer.

Not the wisest thing for him to be doing though..as can be seen by how heavy they've gone against Cage Potatoe for accusing him of gambling.

This isn't even news. Dana had a huge bet on Chuck back in the PRIDE GP for Chuck to win the tournament and he lost about $250K. Its well known he likes to gamble. The problem with Dana is he lives in a bubble that only he gets. And when his mouth gets him in trouble he wants to wave writs and start spitting his dummy out.

I watched the whole vid, didn't see anything wrong.

I understand how the ethics are questionable but losing a shoot from the hip bet with Wand is something most of us would be jealous about.

But, given how corruptible sports are, especially fight sports I don't feel comfortable with anyone in the upper echelon of the org gambling on fights that happen within their own company, with the exception that they are gambling against one another within the org lol.

If one of the Fertita's and Dana throw 100k down on a fight, I don't care :)>

I think the bet was 'Chuck to beat Wandy' which, considering the brackets, would've been the final. So, with Chuck losing to Rampage the bet was off.

Anyway, different here: the joke (Which cagepotato have explained) referred to inter-promotional betting which would put Dana in a bad light. Anyone think he would be rigging the Pride GP to make himself money off Chuck? He can bet on other stuff, it's just UFC where he would put himself under scrutiny.

He bets with a UFC employee and Wanderlei. Hardly incriminating?

I wouldn't care if he makes bet, he is a fight fan. If he has a hand in the results then we have a problem. If no one knows his bets and it doesn't affect the outcome then no harm done right?
