No JMM ranks higher, beat Pac 3 times. Obvious.

Word, Pound for Pound has no defined meaning (that I know of), so it just comes down to how you define the criteria.

    JMM ranks higher than Pacquiao.

    1. IMO he beat Pac three times.

    2. He hasn't truly lost to anyone but #1 FMJ.

    3. Unlike Pacquiao, JMM consistantly fights PRIMED fighters, and the top fighters of every division without continuous catchweight bull****.

Pacquiao is #3, but Pac is mostly smoke and mirrors.

Ask yourself this. Is it a COINCEDENCE that almost every big win if not every big win after Moving up from 135 has been against fighters who were way past their prime, shot, weight drained, previously dominated by another fighter or even KTFO by another fighter? Hell, even his only fight at 135 was against a paper champ who became champ by getting a controversial win over a fighter who was SHOT and who Pac had previously beat.

Floyd and Manny get legitimate criticisms about their opposition, but as Manny moved in weight, were there honestly that many fighters he didn't face? He passed through lightweight without taking on any of the top 3 champions, and avoided Shane at welterweight, but I don't see anyone else at 140 or 147 at the time that can be seen as a glaring duck who posed an alarming threat to him.

When people say Pac is all smoke and mirrors, it hurts the sport. It diminishes Marquez and Morales's performances; it diminishes Barrera's legacy; it brings down all the fighters ranked below him. The same thing goes for Floyd, Cotto, and any other top-ranked fighter with a legacy. Why do boxing fans enjoy doing that?

What's your point? Or are you a Pacquiao nuthugger who doesn't understand boxing?

I undertstand enough to know that getting knocked down left and right doesn't help his argument of winning all three fights.

While I think Marquez is the better fighter, I typically go with official results when comprising my pound for pound rankings. Manny is still ahead of him for me.

And he was winning that 1st round till the knock downs came, also Pac got a point deduction on my card for hitting while down. Marquez won all 3 Pretty clearly, and won over 24 of the 36 rounds.
