i know gay people. have been around them at work and uni etc. i beleive there choice to be wrong. its my opinion and i am entitled to it.

if your so sensative to this issue why have you throw out several comments that gay people would find highly offensive like "hoofter" in this thread?

as have I. And i don't take everything in there literally.

theres allot on there that i use as a guide to live my life by. not eveything i agree with. thats not taking it literally.

There's not much to debate here. I'm not insulting your views, I'm insulting the reasoning you have for your views. Fair enough you don't like gays - that is your choice, but to say it's a religious choice, then say it's unnatural, and then say you understand people are born that way is just confusing.

But you say they're born that way, so it's not a choice. Or are you saying they should live a life they don't want to? Hardly Christian.

No one said you can't have an opinion, but it helps if you've actually based it on some sort of consistent logic. Even saying "gays freak me out" would be better than the weak sauce you're offering up.

I would have thought you'd see the deliberate contradiction in that, but obviously not. And I doubt many gay people would find that "highly offensive". They're more likely to find being told their feelings are unnatural offensive.
