    From 15rounds.com

    The controversial Margarito is coming off successive loss to Cotto and Manny Pacquiao, who fractured the bone surrounding his right eye in 2010. Margarito underwent surgery on the eye before the loss to Cotto. Cotto targeted the eye in a dramatic rematch that ended after nine rounds on advice from the ringside physician, who said blood and swelling had begun to limit Margarito’s vision. Margarito insisted that he could have continued.

    Margarito manager Sergio Diaz said the skin surrounding the eye is vulnerable to further cuts because of the many blows he has absorbed. The eye will continue to be a target. Diaz said Margarito, 34, will probably have to take on a more defensive style if he wants to extend his career.

    It's not all bad news for Margarito though. They have a fight lined up for him on May 26th. If he wins that fight, he could be fighting Chavez Jr. after that. That would be a nice farewell fight for Margarito.

    Arum already cashed out on his villian appeal, so he is essentially done already. I can't see anybody other than hard core JCC Jr. fans supporting that joke of a fight, but Arum will try to squeeze one last dollar out of Margo.

    Margarito fighting defensively...:lol::lol:

    In other words, he can be a worthless opponent(with a name), for a fight or 2. Yeah. Just hang them up. Nobody wants to see that shyt.

    Arum will almost surely still match him up with Chavez jr though.

    Margarito looked like he was actually trying to be more defensive in the Pac and Cotto fights. Garcia had that mother ****er trying to out box them boys :rofl

    Margarito realistically has no more than 3 fight left in his career. To my understanding he may no longer train with Garcia.

    Does anyone else get the feeling Chavez Jr. won't be facing Martinez in September? It seems as though Top Rank has no interest in making that fight.

    Isn't Sergio already signed for the fight or is it just a "verbal agreement" :think
