    Thanks :good, my pleasures are simple now I am a pensioner, being stalked by a lustful ,young body builder is a bit unnerving ,but I suppose I will just have to get used to it.

    Probably a couple of shades below a Bonecrusher Smith's level.

    Too bad,,,,,,,,,

    We couldn't see Mac versus;
    * Leotis Martin
    * Jimmy Ellis
    * Ken Norton
    * Joe Frazier
    * Ron Lyle

    Those bouts would have been entertaining. Mac, had better skills than many think,
    a good boxer with a solid pole-driving left jab.

    Unfortunately, the bout with Jerry Quarry at Madison Square Garden in 1970,
    destroyed his confidence.

    Though still good, he was never the same again after that KO Loss.

    Punching power,,,,,{A+},,,,,,, versus 'B' level fighters.

    Mac Foster,,,,,,

    Thin Black,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

    I would agree,,,,,,,,,,,,up to his bout with Jerry Quarry in June 1970.

    Mac loaded up his 24-0-0 (24 KO's) record with a bunch of;
    A) Shop-worn fighters
    B) Faded journeymen
    C) Cannon-fodders
    D) One-time contenders who were 'shot'

    The 'best' of the 'worst' in that 24-0-0 record;
    * Thad Spencer
    * Cleveland Williams 2X (36 year-old)
    * Jack O'Halloran

    But, give Mac credit, he did try to get a WBA Title fight with Jimmy Ellis in 1969, who avoided him.
    And, he did challenge Sonny Liston pretty much for all of 1969.

    Also, I'm lol'ing at the idea that a fighter can't be a massive puncher because he hasn't beat world class opposition

    Lets hear what iron chinned fighters the hardest heavyweight puncher of all time, Earnie Shavers, knocked out :verysad

    Mac Foster,,,,,,,,

    Would have been a good February 1972 World Heavyweight Championship bout.

    Right after Joe disposed of Terry Daniels in January 1972, in a warm-up/no challenge Championship bout.

    * 'Smokin' Joe Frazier 28-0-0 (24 KO's) vs #5 MacArthur Foster 28-1-0 (28 KO's)

    I like this bout in February 1972.

    Joe was just starting to fade,,,just enough to give Mac an outside shot at an upset.

    Senor Pepe'

    I would've like to have see that matchup rather than Stander, or Daniels.I'm thinking Mac makes it at least to the Middle rounds.
