reason emmanuel gets **** is because he actually performed his worst against Juan in the trilogy. Stands to reason that if someone improved so much the first thing they would start off with is by patching up their weak points. Juan was far out of his prime by the time of the third fight, but that was the only fight between them that emmanuel clearly lost
Good catch Leon :good I think Manny actually did do it once in one of the later rounds (maybe the 6th) when Lampley was raging about his footwork, but Marquez just wasn't going to follow him and walk into it repeatedly, he would reset and go back to the center again after that. I could see Bradley falling for it; Manny does it often.
The end result was the same save the fact that Manny was actually able to knock a younger, in his own weightclass JMM down in their 2nd fight. If he's made all these "improvements" and is somehow now able to follow a new gameplan and adapt to his opponent, it certainly wasn't evident his last time out.
Marquez isn't exactly someone you want to gauge improvements against, especially if he's your stylistic foil. If you want insight into his improvements, they're detailed in this video & translation here: http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=350048
He looks fast! He looks strong! He looks great! He looks like he's already in shape to fight!! Haven't we heard all this **** before? Right before his last fight? :hey :deal And we all know how that turned out. :rofl
What about the DLH v Pac predictions, Hatton v Pac predictions, Cotto v Pac predictions and Margo v Pac predictions?
It was before the fight. But I think his mind is probably the same. Manny has improved, but Marquez took away the space with which he could even apply them.
