Fantasy Fighter Comebacks: Who Could Un-Retire & Win A Belt?

    Which of these guys has the best shot at coming back, beating some current champ (not necessarily the #1 dude) and claim a title again, if they found the urge & trained like they had before. Did some rough estimations on weight classes, don't ***** about the details. Feel free to add other suggestions (but not David Haye). D

    Lennox Lewis at HW
    Joe Calzaghe at LHW
    De La Hoya at LMW or MW
    Felix Trinidad at MW or SMW
    Kostya Tszyu at WW
    Ricardo Torres at LWW or WW
    Sven Ottke at SMW or LHW
    Juan Diaz at LW or LWW
    Barerra at LWW
    Ricky Hatton at LWW or WW

    Lennox Lewis at HW - Probably beat Povetkin
    Joe Calzaghe at LHW - Maybe
    De La Hoya at LMW or MW - No

    Sorry pal, none of those.

    Calzaghe is best bet, but he's probably too old. Big difference between fighting for a title and hitting the pads with Enzo who's aged himself.

    (Though I might pick Joe Cal, over Cleverly or Cloud)

    This. . . I'd actually say Juan Diaz would have a good chance. . He's still young, and his only two "one sided" losses came to Marquez. . Malignaggi outboxed him, but in an 8-4 type deal. . .

    Diaz could fight for the now vacant WBA belt. . . Or I'd give him a decent shot against Burns, or DeMarco. . . Titere would certainly box his ears off, though.

    Calzaghe could probably beat Cleverly now. . .


    Lol Tszyu is like 200 pounds now - he prolly weighs more than Lebedev, who he traind.

    True, but I don't even consider Povetkin a true champion. . . Not even in this era. . .

    Calzaghe would be the only one with any chance at this time. Mainly because he left the game pretty fresh for a veteran, he never looks in bad shape and it weren't too long ago he retired.

    Although the nose powder probs put that theory out the window.

    Would have been cool if you would have had it multiple choice, but it's cool though. Joe has not been out that long and he is healthy. The others have been gone way too long. Oscar would be my second choice. It would be so much harder for Lewis to come back. I think his punch resistance would be shot. He would have to have a long training camp and at least three tune-ups.

    Slappy could beat cloud on points and take his title. As much as it pains me to say it because his style is so ****ing *****... Calzaghe is the only guy on that list that realistically could come back and win a title.

    The freshest fighter on the list is Diaz, however, he is also in the deepest talent division. As for now, he might give the lightweight division some problems, but I don't know about a world title.

    I vote none of them.

    Barerra at LWW. For one thing he's simi active. 140 is never all that strong. It may be at its strongest right now, but it's starting to thin out. There is going to be a far amount of inexperance to take advantage of.
