He lost comprehensively to the guy who lost to the champ. He's not the camp nor is he no 1 contender. If you say Stann is a good challenge for Bones you can also say Bisping is, then why not Maia. Then you are just naming guys with nothing more than a punchers chance to cause a massive upset. It was a stupid name to throw in to the mix. Just admit it and move on.

Maybe but he still got taken down at will vs Jardine. If it happens vs Jardine WTF would Bones do ? Probably drive him through the mat. Plus Mousasi shoudnt be decisioning Jardine who cant KO Jardine ? This guy has been KOed brutally like 8 times now.

Why do people think a dominant fighter "has" to be beat? If he's fighting the best then we should just cherish his reign as JBJ and Silva are doing.

To answer OP I thought it would be Machida until he ot dominated in the second rd. Rashad never looked great against proven strikers and I don't think he can overcome Bones reach, size, and overall versatility. Plus every decent striker hurt him so after that, Jones Ko!

A very good striker Anderson Silva would give Jones a good fight any in this case any good cruiser weight boxer Jones in my opinion technique wise lacks he did an excellent job of nuturalizing Ruas back leg kick and for a typical mauy tai fighter that is the answer. Jones is not a very good kicker so a in the pocket boxer would have the advantage.

Henderson is the only fight left for Jones at lhw. Gustafsson isn't good enough. Bones should fight Hendo (a fight I'd expect him to win) then go heavyweight-hunting. Chael would be almost as easy for Jones as Suga Rashad will be tonight.

most of the ufc's lhw division should move down: there are a bunch of guys like 6'1 that should try and make 185 (shouldn't be all that hard as it allows a 200lb walk around weight) cuz bones' reach is just too much for most of the current crop. i realize spider is down there, but he's aging, and probably easier to be competitive with (even tho spider's the better fighter) for the moving down lhw's. to beat bones at 205 you're going to need to be super explosive, dynamic, really something special (to get inside and really explode) or you've gotta be about 6'5 and boil yourself down so that your not giving up 10 inches in reach

Gustafsson is 6'5" so he would be taller than Bones but still, he only has a 76 1/2 inch reach... Bones has what? 84 1/2 inch reach? Even with a 1 inch height advantage he lacks an 8 inch reach. If I aint mistaken, the ONLY guy in the LHW division with a reach close to Jones is Vera with a 78 inch reach and Bonnar with an 80 inch reach and you saw what happend to them... I want to say Mousasi would be the better pure grappler and striker but at 6'1 and 76 inches, he would still stay and get picked apart by the taller, longer Bones..
