It's easy to root against him, on the other hand it's harder to bet against him.

 

I've liked watching him since he was at 130 and admired his talent so that's all I tend to pay attention to.

But I don't buy that "Money May" character is separate from who he really is. In the end, this isn't WWE where Ted Dibiase played The Million Dollar Man (character). Floyd promotes and fights under "Floyd Mayweather." that's his name. That's who he is representing.

I don't have to like everything he does but He does his thing. that's cool.

I think it is a part of who he is. Maybe a small part but it is who he is. It's another side to his personality. That personality and behavior actually is the street in him. Its the side that helps him grind out work days and dig down deep. It's the big ego side of him. It's the Jack Johnson side to him. It's the independent side to him. It's him.

In a sense, think of it like Larry David. Larry David's character "Larry David" on "Curb Your Enthusiasm" is actually him. It's what he actually thinks and in a sense, wishes he could be if it were not for his filtering of his thoughts in every day life so that he doesn't come off rude or lose friends.

Or in other words, Fight Club....Tyler Durden...One Person but two personalties within that same person. But all a part of that one character called, Tyler Durden.
