If I had to put money on this fight I would bet on Bute UD... But I have a feeling Froch is going to slaughter Bute (maybe just wishful thinking??)

This is in the UK. A ref stoppage is imminent and Froch won't land more than 2 consecutive punches on Bute but will eat 3-5 punch combos early and often.

I really think Froch is the #3/#4 in the world, even now, but facing #2 and then #1 in successive fights seems to be a recipe for retirement.

I wonder if Bute will fold like a lawn chair when he faces adversity :think

Bute has great jab and right hooks, and Froch is an aggressive fighter. But Bute will decision Froch imo, even the fight's in England.

I wanted Froch to win this but I would better see Rachel cringe from Bute's powerpunches on Froch. Scream *****, scream!!!

I don't know, he kept Johnson at the end of his jab very well, he doesn't have Froch's arm length, but he's got good range. . . YOu're right about him being best at mid-range, though - he's got SURGICAL precision at mid-range; that is his opponents "danger zone". . .

If Froch tries to box off the back foot using his range, Bute's superior foot speed will see him hop in and out of range, blasting combos, and single power shots. And Froch is a dead man if he tries to press Bute for long periods of each round.

Froch's best bet will be, like you said, to keep him at the end of his jab, and alternative between getting inside Bute's "KO" range, to use his rough-house tactics on the inside. . . Then, he'll have Bute ready for him to come in and counter, and he can use feints to "counter Bute's counters."

If he just tries to do one or the other, Bute will gauge range within a few rounds, and start blasting away. . .

Bute. Too much skill for Froch. Plus he's got da power to keep him honest. There might even be a mid to late rounds knockout here. This fight could very well be the end of Carl Froch. I honestly can't believe matchroom made this fight. They can make a decent bum fights TV show but ****ing christ 2 years later Kelly Brook is still fighting nobodies, and now they've just took their best assest and thrown him to the wolves the very first chance they got to have any involvement in directing his career. What a bunch of idiots:patsch

Bute's chin has never flinched in the pro (only his stamina), unlike Froch's.:deal

Bute in a split decision that he clearly wins, but, you know, Nottingham and all.

I think Ward exposed Froch and all of his "puffery".

Pretty sure Bute will tko him, or beat him very soundly.
