Floyd is a high-functioning Narcissist. If I were Pedro Diaz, I'd pay a Psychologist good money to do a work-up on Floyd and figure out small and subtle ways to get under his skin both before and during the fight. Hell...I'd even call Marco Antonio Barrera and get a feel for all the tricks he used to psyche Naseem Hamed.

Thus far, you can already see one tactic that the Cotto camp is employing: cutting off the emotional food supply. Narcissists need to know that they can evoke emotion on demand from people in order to believe they are in control. Thus far, the Cotto Camp has done very welll by showing little or no emotion during the pressers.

Nobody who knows Floyd personally describes him as a dick head.

Consider Hatton who also put on a show for the public as a "everyman" yet as soon as he got knocked into a ring post he was broken and considered suicide and drowned himself in booze, coke and whores.

Again regular folks shouldnt attempt to criticize the exceptional when we dont know what pressure they are under ans many times their faults being what makes them great.

Except it didn't work for JMM who Floyd didn't bother to toy with much mentally either.

Floyd doesn't train hard for nothing. He relies on Intelligence and Skill more than anything else.

Maybe I've been missing some interviews and videos, but I haven't seen Floyd make a true attempt to go all out on bashing Cotto.

The reason why MAB beat Naseem was because MAB had a better foundation and skills.

I would've agreed with you mate, but a lot of folks has equally intense workouts but we don't see them weep that often.

Well I know that different people react differently to different situations, but don't you think uit's possible he might be actually hiding what he really feels?

Floyds a good guy at heart, he just needs to deal with his issues and allow the childish behaviour.

He cried after he beat Gatti and cried after he beat Hatton.

Maybe youve never been an athlete so you dont understand.

When JMM fought Floyd he was slow and fat and couldn't have hurt Floyd in a million years. Cotto is no JMM - that MF Cotto can hit! And Cotto ain't no Ricky Hatton or Baldomir, either! And he ain't no gassing-out quitter like a Mosley or a Judah.

wow, Floyd haters are a strange breed.

are they actually criticisizing a BOXER that puts his life on the line in the ring for sheading tears after a victory?

as if its never been done before? but when Floyd does it, these ***gots try to play the psychiatrist role. :rofl:lol:

Seems like it. With revelations of Hatton and DLH emotional problems they choose to try and diagnose Floyd. Amazing

Its just unusual to see a boxer so emotional/upset after knocking someone out. He was far more shook after Ortiz than I remember against Hatton or Gatti. Different kind of tears.

This is my real account MF! Anyways, Floyd could win, but he's not going to chump Cotto. Yes...Floyd has a real and dangerous opponent this time - a guy he should have met years ago in the likes of a Williams, Cotto, Margarito, etc.. Floyd is going to find out that this guy Cotto is like nothing he's ever faced. Floyd better be ready - he'd better be 100%.
