They both looked great but they won't beat Floyd without a solid jab !

Oscar abdandoned the jab and it proved costly ..Lets hope that Cotto uses his .. Excellent post though :good

I agree 100%. If Cotto loses his Jab or his Plan...then he loses.

I don't see Cotto making that same mistake Oscar did. One of Cotto's best punch is his jab. Plus he's much younger than Oscar was when he fought Floyd. Cotto is also more determined to prove people wrong and cap off his career with a great win, so I believe this is gonna be the most determined and Motivated Cotto we're gonna see again in the ring regardless of what the result is. Floyd has his hands full.

He won't. He has a great trainer in diaz to make sure of that and Cotto has a high boxing iq himself, so once he knows something is working, he won't go away from it. Another good quality Cotto has is, he's a very patient fighter and takes his time to find openings and beilieve that's a very important quality when your going against speed fighters.

Every time I see cotto train I think, wow what a plodding attitude he has in camp. He performs better than he trains. I have never been impressed watching him train. Watching Floyd, Hatton, and Pac train blow my mind, but Cotto and Erik Morales are very ordinary trainers. they just do what they need to do in the ring.

Oscar looks fifty times sharper, in my opinion, that snap in his punches is awesome.

I hope so I also want to see some of the old hooks from Cotto .. But Cotto abdoned his jab against Manny lets not forget that ..I know his motivation is at an all time high but I really want him to stick to the game plan ..And even though I think this fight is a few yrs too late Cotto is no walk in the park for anyone..

I don't think it was him abdoning his jab so much against manny, i think it was largely due to Pacquaio's high volume of punches from the angles he was thrwoing them from that confused Cotto.

Cotto makes way more mistakes than Oscar did, and Osca's jab was a league above Cotto's. Mayweather will neutralize Cotto's jab, and Mayweather himself has a fantastic jab to the body.

As far as being younger than Oscar, he may be, but Oscar had less wear and tear.. The one thing that hurt Oscar later in his career was him going part-time...Cotto has the advantage there.

Cotto might do good in the first 3 rounds, after that, Mayweather will take over and get a KO victory.

I doubt that very much. We'll see though. Just make sure your giving Miguel full credit if he performs better than Oscar did which I expect to happen.

By KO I mean the fight getting stopped.

Cotto cannot afford to go through another brutal ass whoopin. :nono

I fully expect Cotto to get countered until his face resembles a Pizza with tomato chunks.

If he performs better than Oscar then it means he either got a draw or won the fight, because Oscar lost by SD...It was a close fight.

Ricky Hatton gave Floyd Mayweather his last toughest fight, look at how uncomfortable Mayweather is stu, bling about and holding on. The facts of this fight are..? that Mayweather did not dominate Ricky Hatton and there was 1-2 rounds in it, even at the knock-out stage.
