Jim was on Derry's nut sack as soon as he dropped Crolla, he is an awful commentator.

 

It was an awful stoppage. He had a minute to recover, maybe Matthews would have ended it or maybe Crolla would have come back again. It was a great fight while it lasted but the stoppage ruined it.

 

I would give that an even round tbh with you

What a load of Bollocks. I understand the ref has to look after the fighters health, but that was shocking.
Still, fair play to Matthew's, it was a great performance.

the ref has got to be more aware.......hard to see how that should have been stopped right there

 

Ref stopped it too early but with the way the fight was going Crolla would've ended up being sparked in brutal fashion. He was getting to Matthews a little bit but Derry had the bit between his teeth.

Tremendous fight. The stoppage wasn't great but I think eventually the fight would have been stopped. Crolla was getting hit to cheaply, hence his face taking a beating.

Like Ice and Beeston were saying, Crolla needs to get away from Joe Gallagher. He can actually box well off his jab, no need to turn him into a brawler.

 

Crolla definatly deserves a rematch,ref was a dick but Matthews finaly gets a bit of luck.

 

It was a bad cut he was taking a lot of punishment was only a matter of time until he got seriously hurt good referee decision
