I'm a huge Naz fan (look at my name) but yeah he never fullfilled his true potential.
If he had been a little more serious in training and learned better balance and defence he wouldn't have started slipping so early in his career.

It's a shame too because he had such a great personality

 

yes, he is a perfect example of the term hypejob.

that fight tells u alot about him as a fighter and picking the right oppenants.

he had potential but didnt test himself enough which is why the only ATG he fights, takes him to school and retires him.

i actually feel bad for someone that cocky to go out like that. that was REALLY embarassing loss. i like nas tho. hes entertaining and he can punch.

i laugh my ass off when some of his fans on youtube say they think he would stand a chance against floyd. :rofl

Leaving aside the question of Hamed's personality and potential, and looking soley at his accomplishments, it isn't a shabby record.

He beat 5 highly regarded fighters - Johnson, Kelley, Medina, Vazquez and Bungu. The obvious knock is that they were all at the latter end of their careers, but they were all live bodies in probably their biggest fight. Defeating all by stoppage is noteworthy.

In addition, he beat solid fighters like Belcastro, Robinson, McCullough, Ingle and Badillo.

The lack of a defining win is the glaring weakness, and the fact that he was soundly beaten by the only truly great fighter he fought diminishes his legacy. It makes him a borderline HoF candidate rather than the first-ballot inductee he should have been.

He definitely could have achieved more, but his career was far from a bust.

Not so much schooled as Clowned. Owned. Made his b*tch. Naz was a personality with a punch. But one night in front of a real HoF fighter and it became quite evident that the hype-train had come to an end.

 

Perfect.

 

He didn't really slip early in his career. After his lost to Barerra, he lost all his confidence.

 

nas was one of the best fighters ever. watch his earlier fights when he gave a fug about the sport. amazing

 

It was schooling of first class!!! I dont care about scores(MAB had point deducted because he soned Naz), precise boxing contorling the fight through 12 rounds didnt have difficult moment in this fight just simply class above Naz.
