are you in ****** mode? since when did morel became lopez? and you must have not watched the actual fight between penalosa and lopez if you think that lopez looked great in that fight.

 

Round 8

Morel is dancing around, looking cocky despite not doing much besides run and slip shots. A few uppercuts from outside by Morel, just scraping through. Mares is jabbing in and landing that overhand at will, though. Big windmilling combo by Mares pushing Morel to the ropes. Morel jabs back at him but can't hold him off. BIG BODY SHOTS BY MARES!! Counter left hook by Morel. Morel is hesitant to follow up. Mares stalks him, but doesn't come in to attack.

79 - 73 Mares

Big right hand from Morel but Mares pressure to bringing it. Incredible body work from Mares and then bam big right from Morel that sends Mares back. Mares round on body work alone.

I understand why everyone dislikes Morel, but lets be real, there are rapists and god damn murders in this sport.

 

That's how they enforce law & order in Puerto Rico, I guess. :conf

 

From what I saw tonight. Pressure might bother him. I will say this. I think Mares gives him a better fight than Donaire would. Donaire can get shocked by boxing. Rigondeux-Moreno would be a beautiful chess match.
We need a tournament with the 4. Winner faces winner and losers face losers.

Round 9

Mares is feeding Morel a steady diet of jabs, and actually out-jabbing a guy who Tarver and Bernstein point out is known for his jab. Once the jab gains him entry, Mares is pureeing the body with right hands and hooks. As Morel pulls straight back with hands low he is caught with big rainbow right hands. Morel is pushed into a corner as Mares clubs away at him. Morel tracks around the ring, trying to load up on uppercuts to catch Mares coming in. Mares walks through them and pins Morel on the ropes, banging the body. More uppercuts counter traps by Morel. Mares just slogs through, pounding that midsection with both hands.
