I don't get that excited about Hopkins fighting. He handpicks guys who he knows have a weakness he can exploit, and therefore the fight is never very exciting. I want see Dawson stay busy and fight a solid fight and outbox the 47 year old guy like he should. Dawson lost his cool the last time they fought, regardless of anything. Dawson should try and work the body and fight consistent and he can win an easy decision.

I tend to agree, though I not sure that Dawson is strictly in the mould of fighter that one would expect Hopkins to pick to fight.

I think he'd possibly have a far easier time with the likes of guys like Kessler or Froch etc who no doubt would fancy having a go at LHW against an ageing Bernard.

Dawson is quick (at least when he sets his feet), a genuine LHW and is physically a bigger man than Bernard, something that he hasn't come up against that much in his career.

Dawson would have beat him 10 years ago. Now this fight will be very one-sided, as the last was going to be. Hopkins will get his check though, and move on.

Yeah, how can anyone say this is handpicking.. first of all Hopkins had to take the first fight.. second Dawson has too many physical advantages over Hopkins...

that being said, I think Dawson wins.. but if Hopkins wins.. it just adds to his legacy.... I'm looking forward to the fight..... I don't care about styles.. I'm happy when the best decide to fight the best :bbb

I like Dawson but I can't stand to watch Hopkins fight, he is a whining cheater who fights dirty and has no natural talent.

first one left plenty to be desired

boxing fans were let down immensely after the first fight

if these 2 guys hated each other before the dislike must have gotten even greater after what happened in fight 1

I feel however that Dawson get Hopkins this time

I think with the injury and the age and the lay off and Dawsons ability and athleticism he will prevail

Hopkins best chance is to get Dawson to lose composure or focus or hope that Dawson fights like he did vs Pascal

Can't wait, should be a good fight. I just hope that it doesn't end like it did the first time.

I think Pascal is a cherry pick, to one dimensional and to exploitable and gasses out way to much... Now dawson he has some boxing skills to go along with his physical advantages which is gonna make this an easy win for him.

I haven't been looking forward to a fight this much since Klitschko fought Mormeck!!!

I'm excited to see if Hopkins can squeeze out one last big victory against a young gun. And I'm excited to see if Dawson can put it together and fight focused, composed, and be consistent throughout the entire course of the fight. When Dawson isn't fighting half-asleep, he's sort of a breath of fresh air among so many mediocre light heavyweights. He's a good technical fighter with solid technique and excellent physical advantages. And when Hopkins isn't fouling or rolling around on the ground, he's always a pleasure to watch.

The hope is that we'll see a decent chess match type of fight - one with good adjustments being made, good outside fighter, good infighting, and a mixture of nice defense and offense. Now with that said, despite my excitement, I'm expecting a foul-filled, ugly clinch-fest.

Dawson has literally called Bernard out for years, while he was playing with
Tarver and Johnson. time for the comeuppance....
    Chad shockingly wide UD.
