This. I think Pascal would build an early lead, than lose about every rounds from round 5-8 trying to save energy for the last 3-4 rounds, and win the last few rounds to get away with a close UD. (Like he does most of the time).
I think Cloud's on a low after his last fight. This one could be his redemption though. We know that Cloud can't hit a moving target. All he throws is short hooks and his feet are too heavy because of it. We all also know that although he is a great mover pascal has stamina problems. We also know he's a balls out warior with an iron chin. So expect this one to get very very good in the late rounds.:bbb
:deal Pascal has some underated power especially when he opens up, but it depends how he paces himself. He punches himself out Cloud can have him in trouble. This is a good matchup hopefully it happens.
Pascal. . . His style would be a nightmare for Cloud, who would only know how to follow him around the ring. . Pascal is much fleeter of hand, and foot, adn seems to have changed his style to a puncher/mover. . . Doesn't do a lot of "boxing" off the jab, but just jumps in with power punches, and then moves back out of range. . . He skeets around the ring looking for potshots, and openings for flash combinations. . . He also hits pretty damn hard too. . . I think Pascal could stop him. . .
Pascal wins the first 5 clearly, probably with a knock down from his left hand. Cloud will get in some solid body work and Jean will slow in the latter half like always because he has to much muscle on his frame. With fair scoring I expect Pascal by a point or two; with his granite chin being a solid factor here.
Hey mate, how about another in-depth analysis like you did about Bute-Froch-Ward? lol I agree with you on Pascal-Cloud, Jean's chin will be tested for sure, his body too! Hopkins did great in this department (body), but he doesn't possess Cloud's power. I could also see Jean not being able to come back strong for the last rounds if Cloud works the body enough, but it's kinda unlikely due to Pascal's movements even when he's tired. It's not like Cloud has any kind of footwork.
