Roger Mayweather stated that Chad Dawson is the most technically gifted fighter active today..? after Floyd Mayweather. Chad Dawson is talented but..? he has a passive personality and is lazy. He bragged about only training for 4 weeks, before fighting Jean Pascal. He was fatigued and tired during that fight, but i make no excuses..? Jean Pascal performed better, and was winning at the point of the head clash which forced the ref to stopped the fight on a cut.

It was evident that Chad Dawson was more motivated to face Hopkins, his body physically looked more in condition and he had allot more muscle tone.

When Chad Dawson is motivated and pissed off, has a massive training camp. I don't thnk there is any fighter at 175 or 168 who can beat him at this point in time. Like all talented fighters they are intrinsically lazy, Bernard Hopkins takes advantage of this..? Hopkins himself..? was never the most athletic fighter, never had the speed of Roy Jones or athletic ability/co-ordinaton/motor skills, never had bone crushing fight changing power like Mike Tyson..? Hopkins could never ever afford to be intrinsically lazy.

Because he was not that good..? He said this himself in a interview before Ronald Winky Wright fight.

Bernard Hopkins is like Batman..? the only superhero without no real super powers.

Chad Dawson has got game..? make no doubt about it. But talent is nothing without training and hours and hours of repetition, the more you dedicate the more talent you unlock. But its a very rare that the fighters with real talent and elite ability.........have that unreal work ethic.

"Muhammad Ali was a lazy trainer, Prince Naseem Hamed a lazy trainer, Chris Eubank...? a lazy trainer at times, James Toney..? Refused to do any road work as a heavyweight, Mike Tyson..? Second half of his career..? was a passive trainer"

I feel that Chad Dawson is one of them fighters, when he is there 100% mentally and physically..? he becomes a beast <<<< Bernard Hopkins own words.

Bernard Hopkins said during the build up to the first fight..? That he wanted that Chad Dawson. Bernard Hopkins ether breaks you as a fighter..? or makes you.

Chad Dawson is a lazy and passive athlete, fighter and person. Hopkins is snapping him out of that..? people said he was confused post fight..? I called that passion.

"And thats what i want to see in my fighters..? Passion"

Well..? I think he will get a motivated Chad Dawson..? and i simply don't think he can deal with that.

"I admit I was wrong ( that you had to fight a young man's fight). Most of these young fighters are not solid, don't know the fundamentals, they only fight in spots" Teddy... Concerning Hopkins motivating them to actually fight and not only get in there prepared physically, it depends on who imposes or dictates the pace and after two or four rounds, Chad is not mentally solid or fundamentally consistent to dictate it. I'm sorry...

Nazim can say what he feels like cause he has seen those guys like SRR but I can only saw B'nard and he definitely is a freak and he would fight a young man's fight in case he needs to cause he's definitely special, training, preparing mentally for the fight, ad******g and turning your advantages against you.

Concerning Emanuel, well, nobody knows who won the first round unanimously and he can't take it from that round in case he wants to amplify it 12 times cause he should know better according to other fights. Even Tito and Hoya won a couple of rounds early, Pascal knocked down Nard twice in the first fight and won the first 3 rounds in Lederman's scorecard in the rematch. It is basically unprofessional from Manny who was fired from Dawson's camp and as a commentator for HBO to come up with this...

Wrong thread. But I'm sure Gary Shaw would say that Tom Cruise was in top gun shape to take the old man with that belt out! Even speaking in italian...

Chad Dawson has all the physical skils to beat any fighter at 175 and 168..? his weakness is his passive mentality. He does not lack confidents at all, and he is no coward..? When its time to rumble, he rumbles.

But..? Chad Dawson does not know how good he is, or how good he can be. I have watched his fights, and its only when he becomes pissed off, or backed into a corner..? and his corner shows real urgency..? Thats when he switches...? he will pick up the pace, or just start simply unloading with more bombs.

But..? you cannot do that all the time at elite level, and in 12 round fights.

He is pretty much like Lennox Lewis or a Chris Eubank, but even worse..!!! Chad Dawson is content with just doing enough, and he fights within himself allot! allot!!

These type of fighters need a spark, which sets them off.

Bernard Hopkins knows this, and has stated this in his own words. But Bernard Hopkins has also pointed out that Chad Dawson can switch..? and Bernard Hopkins wants that guy.

"And like i have said before..? Bernard Hopkins has brought more passion out of Chad Dawson..? and thats what i wanted to see from him. Some people call it being confused..? Chad Dawson is no novice boxer, he is a former world champion, has fought amatuer and professional..? I don't think he is confused............this guy knows how to fight, give fighters in general credit"

Bernard Hopkins..? Mentally gets to fighters..? i would'nt say he scares them like Mike Tyson or Sonny Liston did. But he plants ideas, and motives in there minds..? He is a clever man..? when it comes to street psychology.

First time around Hopkins tried to simply get gangster and intimidate Dawson..? but that did not work.

    So now..? The silent treatment.

And i give Hopkins credit...? I like it.

Because nobody knows what Bernard Hopkins is thinking. Some people think he is unconfident, others think..? he is going to pull out of the fight.? there is a weird feeling about the build up to this fight.

And this is not physically going to affect Chad Dawson..? But mentally..? He is going to be thinking and pondering about certain things.

Bernard Hopkins knows Chad Dawson is confident, has no fear of him. Is training harder than ever..? He is not pondering about anything.

But..? Chad Dawson and his camp..? are not sure this fight will go ahead 100%, there not sure that Hopkins is training better than ever, people don't know weather something shady will hapen..? Maybe Hopkins has afew ontourage members/street people, that are going to try and spook Dawson.

Nobody knows, whats going to happen..? in the remaining days of this fight.

Its professional boxing, the underworld and boxing has always been closely related..? all the way back to the Italian mafia!!

All over the world it is the same!!!

These last remaining days..? Even myself in liverpool city is looking over my shoulder..? when i am walking the streets.

    Nobody is safe.

The whole combination about a Dawson-Hopkins fight is about give and take - Hopkins gives Dawson the motivation to step up and Dawson, without knowing, is presenting yet another "impossible" challenge to overcome for Hopkins at this stage. Never said or would never say that Chad was not technically sound, maybe even more than Winky coming from leftfield, that Chad was not physically up to it cause you see one athletic, big, strong and fit LHWT that absolutely mastered Adamek who's now a pretty good HWT, not to mention that he consistently beat Glen Johnson who gives everybody trouble and Antonio Tarver who's very much back alive at CW... It is mentally that Hopkins is right on the spot cause he can physically and technically deal with this big punchers and slick boxers by either playing chess games with them or smothering them in close, yes, with illegal and tricky, rough house boxing. I frankly can't see Chad beating up Hopkins but most unfortunatelly and undertsand that I'm not playing mind games at this stage, I can see Hopkins doing everything to Chad, busting up his lips, shutting his eyes, cutting him on the eyes, even seriously injuring the kid in close. The thing is that it doesn't matter that Chad is not afraid and is being motivated by everybody. Out there in a streetfight or inside the ring, Hopkins and Dawson is always a Hopkins fight. I know, most know it and we feel everyday who and who we cannot beat up. I personally feel that Chad knows that he cannot deal with the tension at a certain point and that's why such a disciplined athlete went nuts in the SECOND round... I feel sorry cause he's a really good guy whereas Hopkins is dirty, smart in the bad sense and rough as they come, not in the sense of mike Tyson cause he can speak but he's mean alright, and then Chad with his kids in there. ****!...

What Dawson did in a second round was a sign of frustration; that early in a fight you should keep your wits about it and stay focused. I think the injury thing took all the attention from the initial gesture and its significance
