It's easy to be magnanimous in victory. Had he lost on workrate, or hiptoss, then he would of been crying to his friends at Golden boy or feigning an injury to get the result over-turned...

lol, the hypocrisy on here is unbelievable on here sometimes...

I think Hopkins IS a great fighter, it's amazing that he is still around at something like the very top level of the sport...

However, it speaks volumes for the state of the light heavies that a 47 year old man holds a title... Dawson takes this next fight, and the B-Hop go's to Cardiff and fights Cleverly and the retire's immediately if he has any sense...

It can't be good getting punched in the head for a living for something like 30 years by the time he's done...

Sorry to rant, but lots of fighters are given **** all the time for doing half the **** that he does and somehow Hopkins always gets a free pass...

I'm always in between cheering the ''old man'' on and boo-ing him on account of his bigoted, racist, bitchy and cry-out behaviour. Smart guy though, I will say that...

    Hopkins would never train Pavlik.

Bernard would only train someone who had the Spartan like discipline that he has, and Pavlik doesn't have it. (Most fighters don't have it)

Yeah, well... don't know if the networks would be.

Plus if it happens, it probably wouldn't be in Europe.

Why not?! The way it's going it's going the be on equal money terms before long. In fact, the K-bros fights regularly pack out all the biggest venues and are happy to do so...

The boxing landscape is forever changing and its not always going to be about MSG anymore...:-(

Because of the time zones. But obviously it's not totally impossible.

I personally dont think Hopkins will fight Cleverly. Nard at this time would rather face more challenging fighters due to his age, he wins he wins, he loses and he still wins because he is old. There is no point in fighting someone who doesnt really have a big name in the US, which is what Hopkins cares about.
If Hopkins beats Dawson, Il expect him to have a 6 month or so layoff and try to get the winner of Bute/Froch if thats possible. Or another SMW like Ward/Kessler.

Yes, it will be in Europe. . THat's the ONLY place where it WILL happen (if it happens). . . That's where the money is for Hopkins. . . HBO would also probably pick it up. . Probably have a live fight that night, and show the tape delay before the live fight. . Like they did with Khan/McCloskey before Berto/Ortiz.

Hopkins isn't a draw in US, to be honest. . .

Him vs. CLeverly in a soccer stadium will be big business. . . He'd probably make 2-3 million. . .

B hop has nothing to lose fighting cleverly,

will make a nice amount of cash, dosnt matter if he loses because hes an old man, and if he wins will make some more fans in england, which means more money for him
