Apparently they were booing like crazy after that card, and Dana was actually trying to shut them up. You wanna shut up the boo boys then get rid of guys like ***** Jeckson and lets see these guys rewarded far more for KOs than eeking out the distance
I love Chuck and would maybe even rate him as the greatest American fighter pre Jones, but JBJ is all wrong for him. Jackson would not let Jones base the takedown against Chuck and Jones is excellent at sticking to a gameplan. Jones would pick him apart on the outside with leg kicks and hurt Chuck in the clinch if he got inside. Jones wins this fight ten times out of ten.
I think most of the Jones/Rashad "beef" was fake, there were times Jones could have gone for the kill but it seemed to me he didn't want to knock him out and these guys trained together for a long time. As a Jackson fighter he's been absolutely brutal to Machida, Shogun, Vera, Hamill (too brutal) and Matyushenko, he's convincingly finished the likes of Rampage and Bader. I'd give him the benefit of the doubt.
Ive already posted this on Popkins farewell thread, that Jones carried Rashad and Dana pulled one over our heads with this so called beef.
That was the 1st main event I can recall where the crowd boo'd both guys whilst Buffer was doing his thing
Fedor would **** him up & anybody that says otherwise is a new fan with amateur opinions. End thread !
I'm a big,big Jones fan(also love Machida & Rampage) but I think people are putting their hopes too high for him. At LHW I don't think anyone stands a chance against him(Hendo I think would be too slow for Jones to land his H Bomb) but that doesn't mean he should be placed in fantasy matchups against HW's let alone the greatest in Fedor. We don't even know how he'll do at HW and he should not be overlooking the remainder of his plate at LHW. He's potentially the GOAT there and hopefully he will be/is.
Nobody likes being hit, its how they deal with being hit that matters. I`m not sure about Jones just yet, time will tell us more.
