The fight is never gonna happen until both are past it... the reason is because neither are elite ATG fighters willing to fight the very best, which unfortunately is each other.... they have zero respect for their legacy & more importantly the fans that have been paying their bills for years.

HBO never released the official numbers of Floyd/Ortiz too. It took Golden Boy Promo. more than a month to release the numbers.

We can go on and on about it not being fair.

But 40 million is a **** load of money, and more than Pac has ever made before.

Floyd's the one with the nickname of "Money". Pac should just take the fight for legacy... and still pocket a cool 40 million

(and yes, I understand the whole 50/50 argument - but let's just be done with it).

 

If I was Manny I would take that 40 million a beat the **** out of Floyd. Floyd would demand a rematch and his ass would have to take 30 million in order to get it. I damn sure wouldn't leave 40 million on the table when there is a chance that I can win and get a cool 60 million in the rematch.

Seriously though, Arum, GBP and Haymon need to get in a room with the mediator and get to work to try and get as much money as they can so that everyone can be happy. The blame falls on everyone including us fans. Hell I buy every PPV fight that comes out in boxing and MMA and it would take us as fans to boycott Manny and Floyd. The problem is that we all love boxing and want to see these guys perform in the ring regardless and that is why they get away with not fighting, and that is why Arum can make tons of excuses about the May 5th date.

 

this not budging mentality really needs to go out the window for either of them given the magnitude of this fight. ffs just sit down and iron things out to what's reasonable and move on from that.

 

floyd needs to accept the 50/50 split and fight pacquiao. he also has other options like 55/45 or 70/30 to the winner if he thinks he can easily beat him. also he has a third option which is the $50M flat guarantee under the same terms he gave to pac.

floyd has many options but prefers to fight cotto who is a heavy underdog and is not as risky a fight as pacquiao.

 

The problem you fail to realize is that Arum is not going for no 70/30 or 55/45 split anytime soon. Why do you think Arum refused to do the Oscar vs Floyd fight? Arum is back in that same situation now.

 

but he is doing the $50M guarantee for floyd right? if you floyd fans thinks that $40M is a good enough offer, floyd should accept the $50M counter-offer from arum. and remember that oscar-floyd only made a combined total of $75 for each right?

if floyd won't accept that, then he can always accept pac's offer of 50/50 or 55/45 to the winner.
