that's how I see it too. With Pacquiao, you at least see him frustrated or flustered a little where his workrate will go down.
Like you said, Paul only has one speed which is good and bad

100% agree, it's nothing to do with all time greatness or any of that ****, bottom line for a WW Paul Williams is about the last motha****er you want to see across the ring from you. Dude has shown to have an awesome chin outside of the Martinez II, he's taken bombs from some damn good fighters. Throws 100 punches a round, can fight outside, inside, and he's long...tough fight for Floyd, really tough fight.

in his prime if WIlliams got a Steward as a coach and would follow a plan he could beat mayweather, his reach and height are to much if he would use them

I voted Paul Williams (at his best). He gives Floyd all he could handle and quite possibly more. Big stylistic problem for Mayweather.

Wow, exactly 50/50. Honestly didn't see it that close. Floyd works behind his jab and as a jabber, he would prefer a shorter fighter. If PW uses his jab, it would be a nightmare for Floyd.

Paul Williams is 6'2", huge reach good speed power and a southpaw to boot...also throws more punches than Manny....Mayweather was either gonna lose to this guy or struggle...at 147 he was a freak of nature, dude was basically a middleweight at welterweight

Paul william will trouble everyone due to his size and reach but he have a major flaw.... he have crap for defense and his offense is not spectualar either. So no pac will trouble floyd more.

Williams and his reach would give Floyd more problems. Pacquiao does not have the arm reach, footwork, counterpunching ability, nor the versatility to give Floyd many problems. When you go to boxing gyms in the states, just about any trainer will tell you this. It's Arum who has built the "perception" that Pacquiao creates problems for Floyd, and ESPN who has sold it to the "casual fan."

Williams gives him more problems and Floyd takes a UD over Paul...something like Carlos Quintana did.

Pacquiao gets knocked out inside of 7...maybe 8 rounds with Floyd. Wins 2 at the most.

I'm probably in the minority in that I never gave Williams a chance at beating Mayweather. Those height and reach advantages don't mean much unless you know how to use them and it's hard to think of a fighter who fails to use their natural advantages as much as Williams.

Against a boxer as smart as Floyd, I don't see how Williams' strategy - throw 100 punches a round in the general direction of your opponent and hope something lands - meets with any success. One of Floyds best attributes is reading his opponent and adapting to them. How easy would that be against someone so one-paced and lacking variety?

the current williams would probably be beat by floyd...but the williams that beat margarito or even winky wright would have his way with floyd. too long...too active.

no version of pacquiao could ever beat floyd.
