Controversially I think Kessler bowed out of the S6 to avoid having to rematch both Ward and Froch to win it all and got out to wait out the winner

My argument against that, is that his next fight was to be with Green, and that's probably the easiest fight of his tournament. Surely he'd of taken one more pay day first?

yes but then he couldnt say he had an injury, like if he fought and beat Green easy then said i cant fight a rematch with Froch in the semis my eye us bad ppl would say it was fine vs Green

Im not calling him a ducker or coward, im not i like Kessler

but after Ward beat Froch many on ESB thought Kessler was next

Kessler knew the first Froch fight was close, and he got beat bad by Ward

I think he realized why fight both when i can just take the one who comes out on top

Sure enough he came back but hasnt done much, he went for Bute couldnt get the money he wanted, then went after the weak link title in Stieglitz and either got hurt or just gave him the run around

its a controversial opinion for a reason i guess

Is it controversial to believe Forrest would have beat Mayweather?

    1. Prime Tyson (87-89  ) is H2H the greatest HW of all time. Being H2H doesn't mean he would win every fantasy fight, as I could easily see Tyson losing to an Ali for example. But if they were to fight 5 times, a few of those times would see Ali on the floor not getting up.

(See prime Lewis vs Mercer as an example of how Tyson would destroy a prime Lewis)

    2. Joe Calzaghe would have lost decisively to Hopkins had the fight occurred in the early 2000's (wide WIDE decision), and would have been dominated and eventually knocked out (mid rounds) by Roy Jones Jr had he fought him when Roy was in his prime (a shot to **** "wrist shot" from Roy had him nearly out on his feet - a prime Roy would have ended it in that round). Further to JC, both Hagler and Monzon beat him comfortably.

    3. H2H, Floyd gives any ATG from 147 (and in some cases, 154) and down a helluva a fight (but not necessarily winning), but potentially defeating those that would rank higher on an ATG list, even in the top 10. Further, history will be very kind to Floyd's ATG ranking if he retires undefeated.

Floyd has the skill and ability to beat any one of the Fab 4......:smoke although i believe Hearns to be the biggest nightmare of the four.

Used this post, and applied my responses to illustrate the point that Armstrong has a case that's almost as strong as SRR for being considered the best fighter of all time.

I can buy this, but a Rafael Herrera would have always been able to give him hell. Carlos Zarate kills Ruben dead at 118, too.:deal

God...Y'know....I pretty much agree with all of these, save the Cloud-Campillo comment (and even then, the fight could have been called a draw and I wouldn't have complained that much)
