The UFC is closer to a real fight than boxing to be honest! Put a Boxer in a street fight with Bones and see how that will unfold... .. Even the HW's..
I agree, he's a good fighter. But it helps, all of the guys he's been fighting are shop worn and have been in the game for almost a decade before him (except Machida).
Lol, check out how much Che Mills, who was in the main undercard fight got, $8,000:nut That won't even cover his training costs. I remember Bob arum paid Carbajal and his opponent over a million dollars for their Strawweight fight almost twenty years ago. That way people would appreciate them as skilled prizefighters since only an elite athlete would warrant that type of compensation. With what the UFC pays some of these guys it gives the impression they were just pulled in off the street. For 8,000 dollars a skilled athlete would rather be in the NBA development league or in AAA baseball or junior soccer. MMA has skilled athletes but no where near as skilled as boxing and with these paydays it's no shock as to wayatsch I know they make unreported amounts but still embarrassing how little their reported pay is.
They weren't shop worn.. They just ran into a wrecking machine! They will look good fighting a different opponent! :hat
In my limited time on this board one thing I've certainly noticed...you're a pretty annoying guy, seriously.
Ofcourse, Mayweather, Pacquiao and Klitschko brothers and a select few percent of boxing make the millions and millions of dollars. Unfortunately for the sport though, the bottom top20-50ish type fighters get paid NOTHING, whereas mediocre fighters in the UFC make at least a healthy cut, enough to make a living off their sport. I know a certain fighter from Germany who has a good record who only made 2k eur in his last fight. You'd be surprised just how ripped off some of these guys are.
MMA ***s say boxing is dead yet a guy like brandon rios makes more money than their biggest star. Bums get paid bum money. MMA fighters aren't elite athletes, so they get paid bum money. Skills pay the bills. Mayweather, kobe, messi etc that's called real skill. And as far as a "real fight", MMA isn't real either.
