At this point, I'd say Larry's legacy is pretty safe. I can't see Wlad ever topping it. Of course, there is an argument to be made that Larry was a champion during the post Ali(faded anyway) and pre Tyson era. Who can really say what Larry would have done if he had come along ten years prior or ten years later.:think

Larry was solid. An excellent fighter, don't get me wrong, but you don't get any better than what Wlad has brought to the sport.

Wlad has clear advantages in physique (particularly the lats, traps, and medial deltoids), resume (Holmes defended mostly against nobodies, shot fighters, and hype-job Cooney), jab, right hand, left hook, uppercut, power, speed, body punching, ring generalship, and durability. Holmes may have been quicker, but I don't rate him as such due to Wlad showing impressive speed at a muscular 6-6, 240.

Let's also not forget that Holmes was knocked out by Tyson and never won a title again. This forces me to seriously question his resolve and heart. Wlad was poisoned thrice prior to embarking on the greatest championship run in sports history.

Again, Holmes was damn good. Maybe a top 20-25 HW of all-time, but Wlad is the best. Sorry for any hurt feelings, but it is what it is. We're witnessing GOATness, folks.

Bit of a moot point my Roman friend, especially considering how Wlads chin would have held up if he had fought 10 years earlier.

Sadly that was a genuine post :conf

They both have been criticized for holding the titles during weak periods. I feel that Wlad defended against tougher comp and was more dominate against that competition then Larry was. Cooney was by far his best win and was a pretty good achievement.

The 2 of them have a few things in common, they had the best jabs in HW boxing history and both are underrated overall.

I'm beginning to think that these Klit fanboys are nothing but Klit haters in real life. They post **** on forums to make others despise the brothers.

No right minded person can be that thick or deluded.
