I like both fighters but only grew up during Wlads prime

I think Larry's legacy is better but I think if Wlad were to fight til 40 and stay champ he may be able to surpass but only time will tell

I also dont see him getting to 40 for some reason

    Agreed.

The KO loss to Sanders is the true divider between two guys who fought in weak eras, IMO. Wlad's not retired, but that stain will always be there.

Holmes beat better fighters, never lost in his prime, was only knocked out once by the most ferocious puncher ever when he was way past his prime, not in his prime by part time fighters and bums like Wlad. Had way more heart, would get ina dogfight if required and would beat Wlads ass head to head. Holmes was a warrior with skill, Wlad has skill but he fights scared and didn't have the heart to compete with holmes.

I knew you'd be in this thread to proclaim the superiority of Holmes.

    You're 100% predictable.

Really I've been critical about Wlad and his brother but they've fought all they could. Well, don't like Vitali pouncing at the chance to avenge his brothers' losses but I'd do te same thing so I can't blame Vitali. Two brothers may never reign as long as they are facing anyone so that alone should make them great

Byrd, Peter, Brewster(ight, he was very faded and it was avenging a loss), Haye, Thompson(first fight NOT rematch but will still watch), Brock, Chageuv, Chambers are all very good wins. Not a "deep" resume but Wlad's been dominating and hopefully he gets to be undisputed so I have no reason to not have him as ATG. Already is come to think of it.

Right, didn't answer the question. Now that I got that off my chest, Holmes is still greater with longetivity, being undefeated in his prime, and just having better wins. Wlad would have to reign for a few more years to pass Holmes and it would be a cherry on top being undisputed.

I'm a fan of Wladimir and not exactly a big fan of Holmes but Holmes wins this easily.

Holmes and it's not even close, hell Holmes would have beat Wlad in his final comeback.

Well maybe I wouldn't go that far, but you get my point.

    This.

We're still anticipating trilogies with Tony "The Monk" Thompson, Samuel "The Nigerian Buffet" Peter and Hasim "The lol" Rahman to carefully evaluate and critique.

There are new guys coming along, & Wlad will pick up some nice new defenses.

There is no way in hell Wlad out jabs the man with the greatest jab in the history of the HW division. And possibly any division for that matter.:bbb
