Larry Holmes. . . But Wladimir can make it close enough depending on how he finishes these last 4,5 years of his career.

I respect you a a poster. That said. It's Holmes, and he did show what he had over ten years out of his prime. He gave an undefeated gold-medal-winer Ray Mercer a boxing lesson. Mercer was the same man that gave, a the hardest fight, to, what many think of as a top three heavyweight champion of all time, Lennox Lewis.

    Larry now.

However, if Wlad keeps on winning then I will choose him, but it depends how many more fights he wins and of course against who.

The way I see it, if Wlad wins say his next 5 fights and retires and grabs the WBC belt after Vitali retires that puts him at 16 consecutive title defenses (21 in total if you count the WBO, which I do and most publications as well). Larry had 20 so he has more defenses, but he never unified one belt let alone all the belts (which Wlad would be the first HW to have all the belts at once).

It would be a close call, but I would probably pick Wlad just because he dominated his opposition much more than Larry and he never ducked people unlike Larry.

If Wlad say wins his next 10 fights I would pick Wlad without hesitation.

  8. One of them is still fighting. Cant tell 'till the guy retires.

Don't forget Lamon Brewster and Ross Puritty. He was also floored by Davarryl Williamson.

I recently had the honor to spar with Vladimir Klitschko for his last fight with Jean Mormeck. After being in the ring with him for one sparring session my mind was made up that no one in the next 5-7 years will beat him. Don’t get me wrong, there are definitely some good heavyweights in the U S but he is in a class of his own.- Jason Gavern
