Thats because Bellew is fighting, he'll always sell out that arena.

I hope Coldwell can get 2 or 3 dates a season, see how he does.

There should be room for them both to be honest, but Eddie's talking big arena shows and these draw big veiwing figures. Add that to the Prizefighter franchise, which love or hate is very popular, then its a no contest really. Hatton promotes the domestic, leisure center shows. Which are great for us,but dont bring in the mainstream veiwing figures.
If Quigg looses to Munroe(if not he defo looses to Frampton) and Murray looses to Macklin or Barker, then where does he go. His best gamble is to try and take out Hennesys biggest cashclown Fury by trying to make the Towers fight And get a deal with 5. Or a Hatton.tv subscription channel???

20 dates for Matchroom + 4 for Maloney to showcase David Price.

After all that Ricky has done for Sky Sports this is shameful.

How many total dates have Sky given the contracted promoters on average the last couple of years?

    No, it isn't.

The main event is one people expect to be exciting, but they also expect it to be one-sided. The undercard for this show is also lacking in any depth. You've got a couple of decent match-ups, but for the most part, it's standard prospect vs journeyman fights. Although I'm sure Coldwell Promotions splashed out plenty for the main event, so it's to be expected that the undercard isn't great.

And I don't think attendance figures are necessarily indicative that the product will be 'better than anything Hatton's done' for Sky. Although if you want to look at it that way, I don't think Hatton's first Sky show - Macklin vs Asikainen - was lacking in ticket sales.

I also don't understand people saying Hatton Promotions have 'recently put on good shows'? They've always put on good cards, whether Sky are involved or not.

Why is it shameful? explain yourself?

They gave him a 2 year contract based on little promoting expirience. He did not deliver anything to go crazy about.

Macklin vs Asikainen did really poor ticket sales which is part of the reason Macklin left Hatton./

Sky made it clear 2 years ago....we need to be impressed. We just got same old same old from the Hattons.

They've dropped the Europa League coverage and are getting good numbers with Fury/Eubank/Galahad so the money would be there. They clearly have an intention to support the sport- sure the production values aren't great but they are using Al Bernstein as a signal of intent.

The issue might be that Hennessey has an exclusive contract with Channel 5 for x amount of years.
