Who, in your opinion, are the boxing prospects in the upcoming olympics (male and female). Please state weight and country.

Katie Taylor is the best female Lightweight in the world, from Ireland. I'd guess she's the strong favorite for the gold as she has 3 world championships (going for her 4th next month)

He wants a legit shot at the gold medal before he goes pro, and I think this is last chance.

Was looking forward to seeing Joe Ward from Ireland but he got robbed badly against Turkey last week, hopefully he gets the wildcard as he is the highest ranked boxer at 81kgs in the world not qualified, I fancy he will win gold if he does.

    Ya hopefully he does!!!

I said that he might get robbed prior to the fight and low and behold he does! What a joke out of the judges

lomachenko from the ukraine, and damian hooper from aus over here in the 81kg division is probably our strongest chance, the guy is a beast

52kg seems to be a very open weight, any of one of Raushee (USA), M.Conlan (IRE), Misha (RUS), Mamishzade (AZE), Selby (GB) who will have home advantage and Qubali (FRA) could win it.

for any info on the 2012 boxing, you need to listen to the steve bunce boxing hour on bbc london , has been touting and following the qualification for the last two years, always has Rob Mccraken on the phone for interviews and was the first show to highlight anthony joshua,

buncey even posts on here sometimes,
