No that's ridiculous. If the fight is signed as a catchweight fight then it's a catchweight fight. If you go over the weight and then pay a penalty it means you missed the weight, not that the weight limit for the fight suddenly went up.

Guys missing weight for fights happens all the time. If a guy misses weight for a middleweight bout, it doesn't suddenly become a supermiddleweight or a catchweight bout.
