I think ward is very happy that he doesnt need to fight anthony dirrell no matter what he is going to say at this point! He never wanted to fight him thats a fact! Not only because he is friends with him but he knows anthony is a very dangerous fight for him

Sjekloca is from Montenegro, he had press conference here and announced his fight with Anthony Dirrell but i didnt want to post until someone here hears about it, and he signed for Golden Boy Promotions!
Sjekloca isnt that bad he was ok amateur he was 3rd in World Championship 2003, well he had some problems and is known not to train properly for many of his fights because he didnt get any money, Sjekloca signed for golden Boy promotions so i believe he will be in top shape now when he has this great opportunity, i dont believe he can beat Anthony but he could put up decent fight while it lasts!

 

At SMW, Euro level as you put it is the top level of the division and has been for a long time.

Bute (European) IBF champ
Steiglitz (European) WBO champ
Kessler (European) was WBC champ Emeritus
Balzsay (European) regular WBA champ
Magee (European) WBA int champ

Now Ward can call himself #1 and is the true WBA champ and WBC champ, but he wont have proved he is #1 unless he beats Bute.
Europe has produced many top SMWs and many American SMWs tend to lose when they travel to Europe to compete in big fights. The list is very big.

Still it seems very bad if Ward has lost his title status. Anthony hasnt yet beaten anyone of real note to earn a title shot and hasnt a much if better at all resume to Sjekloca

not at all. it's only because they're friends. anthony dirrell is a one punch wonder. he's one dimensional. ward would use a multi dimensional arsenal to coast to a UD and rough him up in the process, no doubt about it. he doesn't want to fight dirrell because they're friends.

 

They should have waited for the Stevenson/Gonzales fight and make the winner fight Dirrell for the belt.
