Probably the same thing than Kessler with his "WBC emeritus" status : never get his title back.

But Ward doesn't seem to care, he thinks he's a TV fighter now. :rofl

he is not world elite, yet he is ranked #3 in the world which is the point of the thread. "not a total bum" isnt credentials last time i checked for getting world title fights. struggling to a MD12 with a guy ranked #95 isnt something that gets you brownie points even if food poisoned..
he is 33 years old and im glad you think his amateur credentials will prove him somewhat worthy

I have a hard time imagine people taking a fight when ill or injured. Must be excuses most of the time.

I watched the fight live, he won a first 6 7 rounds and by 12th he hardly could stand up, and he did not say that publicly at all, my boxing trainer knows him and thats how i found out about it!!!

No i did not say he deserved it, but its not first or last time someone gets shot undeserved, and we are small country 600 000 people no one here had the money to even get him good opponents, now he signed for GBP and they "fed" him to Anthony Dirrell i guess, is Anthony Golden Boy fighter???

That's exactly what Dirrel's promoter didn't want. He did his job. He gives to Anthony a world title for free.

Froch is better than Johnson definately. I think Froch is better than Andrade, but would add, Froch hasnt beaten a prime SMW as accomplished as Steiglitz, Andrade has.
I dont dispute what you wrote at all, which is why I said Ward can call himself #1, but also said he hasnt proved it until he beats Bute.
Your question was, who has Bute fought and I gave you names of top 10 rated fighters Bute has beaten

Didn't Stevenson just win the WBC silver title? I don't understand why fighters don't start suing the WBC for charging sanctioning fees and then dilute the value of the titles.

So Ward gets to rest an lets his friend fight for a vacant title. As much as I like Ward, him and the Dirrells seem to be going to lengths to stay out of the ring with each other. Split championships as long as those two hold straps.

what a joke.... Anthony Dirrell should at least have to fight Stevenson which is a 50/50 fight. Ward gets champion in recess for not even being injured? what a load of ****, he should be stripped.
