Schmeling refused to continue, so Sharkey wins on a retirement in Britain, on a TKO in the States.;)

    Very Interesting Question,,,,,,,,,,

    I would consider him a 'Two-time Champion'

Obviously defeating Sonny Liston,,,,,,,,,,,and George Foreman.

Those were the 'proper' Championship Title changes,,,,,,,

I do not regard that 'flip-flop' with Leon Spinks a legitimate 'changing of the guard'

    Nightcrawler,,,,,,,,

    Easy There,,,,,,,,,,,,,

It was Muhammad Ali and Leon Spinks,,,,,,,,,,,,,who both

Signed a contract to fight Ken Norton next, if either of them had won.

The Ali vs Spinks I Championship bout had a 'strange aroma' of 'fix' in the air that night.

If Ali retires after Frazier 3 or even Foreman he still goes down as the best HW ever so all in all it doesn`t matter one bit to his legacy whether he`s classed as a 3 time champ or not.

Robinson was a 5 time MW champ & a lot of people don`t rank him the best ever MW but overall in his career he was the best ever.

The good outweighs the bad when your as great as these guys were but nobodies perfect.

He was a 3 times champion. History can't be rewritten.

However I had him losing to young. Anytime after that he was a paper champion in my book.

We can't negate the achievement but we should question the worth of it's value.

    The Liston match was thrown.

    I had Frazier winning.

    Spinks wasn't legit.

    He was never champ.

I think Seamus needs to lay off the painkillers.

    I had Foreman winning.

    Pretty easy to understand,,,,,,,,

If Muhammad Ali beat Leon Spinks in the,,, Ali vs Spinks 'I'

Mr. Ali would have had to face Ken Norton,,,,,,,,,clear and simple.

The public wouldn't have bought any other fighter versus Muhammad Ali.

And everyone knows,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Kenny Norton would have beat him 'easy'.
