Good Post, and i agree with the main points.

Silence of the lambs is pointing out what happens before the fight, i have been to afew white collar boxing shows, and i am aware of the underworld being at large and influencing things. People being intimidated before fights etc

But thats only small time..? Chad Dawson vs Bernard Hopkins is on another level.

I always remember reading Nigel Benns book, and he mentioned being in Frank Bruno's entourage when he fought Mike Tyson for the second time. Nigel Benn a former soldier, a former gang member in london himself, mentioned that even he was bothered and threatened while in the states, somebody from Tyson's entourage was making slit throat gestures at Nigel Benn.

I just think things will be happening behind the seens this week, people will be getting spooked.

But seriously Bernard Hopkins lost against Calzaghe and Taylor, its not as if Bernard Hopkins emptied his tank and threw the kitchen sink at Calzaghe and Taylor like most challangers do and should!!!!.........then to be robbed.

But its all irrelivant now, and honestly cannot see this fight going the distance.

I personally think its going to be a sad day, i always remember that once quote when watching a weakened Muhammad Ali get beat down by Larry Holmes.

"Legends die hard, Not even Legends can be forever young"......

People need to let go and prepared themselves for Hopkins final fight against time itself.

I think it will be a emotional fight, i am not going to slate Bernard Hopkins anymore. Because i think he is walking to his boxing end come saturday night, and i hope he goes out like a Legend a real warrior.

Sometimes its not always about winning, its about about proving you can do something people think you can't do. Allot of people, allot of people within the sport of boxing, pundits and reporters.....Believe that Bernard Hopkins cannot fight until the bitter end, if he is in that kind of fight where his back is really against the wall. People think he will find a way out, start to play act and distrupt the whole fight...?

I have seen a recent interview with Hopkins, and there is a weird calmness, i sense abit of emotion from him. I see no fear, but i sense that he really knows he is up against it. Bernard Hopkins stopped talking along time ago folks, he stopped updating his twitter account in which he was a daily tweeter.......stopped updating it along time ago.

"I have got enough dignity, to pay my respects when a legend goes out on his sheild, and thats what is going to happen on saturday night when Bernard Hopkins faces Chad Dawson, forever the survivor, the master of the great escape, a rebel with a cause for many years.........Legends die hard, not even Hopkins can escape this!"

And how is this BEAST gonna smother him if he can be floored at any given time a right hand connects?

Chad Dawson has been floored, and got back up. He has went throw rough patches and fought throw it, he has been world champion, and lost it, he is a well rounded fighter.

Seriously, and Dawson is more sqaure on in that gif.....but still so what if he was knocked down. Fighters have to taste the canvas and deal with it at some stage in their career, Holyfield, Ali.......all did this.

Hopkins was floored..? so what......he proved he can deal with it.

Why do you believe so much that Dawson can do an antonio tarver to Hopkins? I'm just curious because you seem very confident about this and if I was betting person that would be the last thing I would bet on, is him stopping or Koing Hopkins.

Yeah but Harding was a has been when that happened, so that should of never happened in the first place. Either way, the last thing he wants is for Hopkins to floor him because that would create a bad thing for him on the scorecards because in terms of accurate punching, Hopkins will have the advantage.

Dawson is good but I can see why Hopkins wants to fight him. He is a little sloppy and keeps his right hand low.

What has that to do with anything. So now Time will kill Hopkins it's the latest news. Well time will kill you, me and everybody. Why does it have to be Chad Dawson to be compared with Larry Holmes against Ali??? Larry dominated the division ever since until 85 when Spinks came and he had hard fights to deal with.

Chad is untested so why are we not taking this as a test for Chad insted of a final chapter in Hopkins career?
But if you want Jean pascal to be his test, well, he failed it and it was not due to any headbutt!!!

Hopkins should of fought Dawson after Winky Wright or Pavlik fights, it would of been a real good fight back then.

I actually think Hopkins performance against Jean Pascal...? In the first fight, was a all around better performance than the rematch. He looked physically faster, sharper, and just to look at visibly more in condition. It was a better fight, and fought at a higher intensity.

The second fight was boring, and Hopkins basically took advantage of Pascal being abit of a ******. Pascal is a good athlete, and can box, but he does not throw straight punches, everything is wide, and he would throw his shots too early.......

Pascal throw good straight right hands at times vs Dawson..? But against Hopkins he just totally forgot about straight punches.

I just think Bernard Hopkins is too old, plus.....? It would be a different ball game if Chad Dawson was a Kelly Pavlik or a Felix Trinidad..? them guys where good fighters, but they where one demensional. Bernard Hopkins stated this himself, and he has stated that he likes facing fighters like that...

Because he likes, breaking what has worked for these fighters for so long.

Chad Dawson is a well rounded fighter, and good fighter, a good champion. He's not a novice, and he is not one demensional, he is not a fighter coming up in weight like Felix Trinidad or Kelly Pavlik.............

Stylistically Dawson being a tall, long athletic fighter with serious physical skills...? these fighters have always gave Hopkins trouble.

And at 47 years old..? Its just a step to far, hats off to Hopkins for going above and beyond the call od duty.........for the last time.

I agree with the part that anybody can be knockdown like Chad was against Harding in that image or against Adamek. I also agree he has World Champ class but I do not agree he is a well rounded fighter cause I have his fights and he never ever fought a guy like Hopkins even at age 47. Hopkins can catch him anytime unless and if he doesn't get loose and if he doesn't get loose, he's gonna land 3 jabs in 30 jabs thrown ( according to Dwyer) in 2 rounds and you know inaccuracy also counts for the judges.

    Its time to let go.....

It is time to let this go, now is not the time for talking about past fights.

    Its time to prepare yourself.

"Legends die hard, Not even Legends can be forever young"

Its time to let Hopkins go! Hopkins knows this himself.......he knows what he has to do Saturday Night.

Now you determine when he's ready to leave the game when he says the opposite and proves the opposite, you rather should say that to Holyfield. Now, we r talkin about Dawson and not Hopkins himself. You don't know if he has problems with lanky, rangy, athletic fighters cause you haven't seen all his fights but I did - Howard Eastman, Keith Holmes, Antonio Tarver and Kelly Pavlik and you are very mistaken about JT. JT had problems controlling the tempo and had huge technical problems like the "bowing arrow" and that is pulling the right arm backwards while he's jabbing and Bernard did take advantage of that and Kelly even more. You think Harding, Adamek, Tarver and Johnson and a loss to Pascal gets Dawson prepared for Hopkins?
