How would you rate Frank Bruno? And should he have been more ferocious in the ring?

You all remember the 1st fight with Tyson, where he hit Tyson with a great left hook which wobbled Tyson, but Bruno never seemed to have that killer instinct which Tyson had to finish opponents off. His K.O % was pretty impressive, but could he have been a great if he had that aggressive streak in him?

    Tyson/Bruno 1st fight

Sadly Frank suffered the same fate as most name Brit fighters.

    No chin...none.

Would have been interesting to see what he could have accomplished in a less stacked era.

I think "passive Bruno" is overstated a bit, based on 5 seconds of a fight against Tyson. If you watch his fights with Coetzer and Williams, he could be a very dirty fighter when he wanted to be. This isn't even taking into account the Coetzee blowout, where he steamrollered him without hesitation.

He wobbled Tyson, but people make it out as if a follow-up punch would have taken him out. Aside from that punch, he took a pasting throughout his two fights with Tyson. His losses had much more to do with his stamina issues and laxck of survival skills than a perceived lack of killer instinct.

Oh mean on the night when the Brits BOO'd Lewis for not being a 'real Brit" only to go on and claim him as a "real Brit" as soon as he won?

So sorry but I am having one of my "serious poster" moments and I am not going further an agenda at the moment.

PS: Check back in an hour. This is sure to pass.

    PSS: I'm not British

I think he'd be the best heavyweight in the world today. Very similar to Wlad but with more power, a better jab and a better chin.

In a good era though, he wasn't good enough to be dominant.
