Lacy was never that good just an overhyped puncher who did he beat...dude beat Syd Vanderpool for christ sakes for the title, Kessler is veru good not great you know that, Hopkins is a nightmare for anyone but he wasnt the guy that beat Trinidad who threw more punches and was more active plus come on Hopkins was like 43 at the top level that matters news flash anyone over 35 aint prime whether they win or lose...Mayweather, Martinez, Marquez are great but still not prime
Gatti was not #1 jww.hatton was Oscar was not the #1 154 fighter is my memory serves me right Spinks was
None. But overall, Floyd's resume is good but not better than other resumes with losses. It's kind of like a ITT Tech student with a 4.0 GPA trash talking a Harvard student with a 3.5 GPA. :rofl
Right...but he is averaging less...It has taken Pacquiao 7 fights to do what Floyd has done in 5 fights. Also, more money has come out of pocket because he has had more fights. More expenditures etc...
THE NUMBERS BELOW SHOW MORE OF THE ENTIRE STORY THAN, "WELL SINCE PAC MOVED UP TO WW" De La Hoya-Maywetaher 2,400,000 De La Hoya Pacquiao 1,200,000 Hatton-Mayweather 920,000 Hatton-Pacquiao 850,000 Marquez-Mayweather 1,005,000 Marquez-Pacquiao 3 1,450,000 Mosley-Mayweather 1,450,000 Mosley-Pacquiao 1,150,000(Arum never released official numbers) Mayweather 1,443,750 Pacquiao 1,162,500 There is your common opponents above. Since the common factor in De La Hoya below. at this point Mayweather has the best resume of any undefeated fighter ever...Marciano, Ottke, Calzaghe, etc....
That's probably true. That said, people are coming around to the fact that an '0' on your record might not be the end all be all or even a determining factor of ATGness. So while Floyd's run at LW was damn good, his career at WW has been something of a let down.
Im both fans, and critics of Pac, and Floyd. . . I like to clown on Floyd, but everybody knows I speak highly of his in-ring ability (which is really all that counts). . . While Floyd's resume is often shat on unfairly, I honestly do believe Pac has a better resume (as of now, Floyd can change that over the next 3 years or so). . . it's just hard to argue against beating Marquez twice, Morales twice (KO's nonetheless), and MAB twice. . You could argue all of those guys are top 100ish fighters of all time. . . I don't buy the whole "oh they weren't 'primed'" argument either. . They were perfectly primed, and there's no reason to discredit the wins. . . Marquez wins were DEAD CLOSE, and I thought 'Quez nicked the third fight, but it was close enough to go either way really.
Come on MOMO's, you gotta admit that was kinda funny. . . I'd say it's more like a USC, NC State, or Michigan State student with 4.0 trash talking an Ivy League student with a 3.5. . . The former schools are very good state schools, but not as difficult to get into, nor as prestigious as the Ivy League schools. . .
