Another near 30 min fight rerun, safe to say WBC doesn't have it.

I think this is one of those nights they're having extreme technical difficulties.

    The replay is now gone.

This wouldn't be the first time they've advertised a card and then not been able to deliver. :-( They've sometimes botched parts of cards and on occasion even entire ones.

You can pretty much expect that they won't deliver on 1 or more of the fights scheduled. :yep

They're showing what appears to a beauty pageant of some sort on this channel. Not exactly what I was intending to view, but you can't go wrong with checking out Latina hotties...:yep

Nice interview of Julian Jackson! I never knew how much he admired Arguello

Yeah, it had to have been either technical difficulties or maybe a rights issue (ie the WBC had to honor a blackout or something and was left holding the bag and needing to air all this filler to kill time? It seems that Televisa Deportes preempted their planned airing of this card in favor of NFL draft coverage )

Anyway, someone tweeted updates from the Expo center in Mexico City...so...here's my rough translation/interpretation...

    Tomoki Kameda vs. Jairo Hernandez

Through 4: Very evenly fought. Kameda exhibiting some facial damage.

Through 5: WBC open scoring is announced. Two judges have it a draw, one had Kameda up.

Through 6: Still even, but Kameda looks to be gassing and breathing heavily through his mouth. He is still putting up a fight, though.

Through 10: Hernandez is now the one looking more tired, and Kameda is up on points. Open scoring had Kameda up 78-74 on at least two cards through eight.

...and, that's it. This idle spectator didn't see fit to tweet the result.

    Presumably Kameda UD? :conf

Ah, ok - several tweets later he tells a friend that Kameda won because "Jairo did not come out to the 11th".

    So RTD10 for Tomoki.

Televisa will air this card - rather than having done so live as planned - on two-day delay this Saturday. :patsch

I'm guessing the WBC was just going to use their feed under permissions, and obviously without a broadcast their hands are tied. So maybe this once we're wrong to just automatically blame the WBC website folks.

    Roberto Ortiz vs. Javier Prieto

Through six: Ortiz is starting to fall into a hole on points, Prieto is out-working him and proving himself.

Through eight: Ortiz "gives it a twist", now two judges favor him. (per WBC open scoring).

Through nine: the fight belongs to Massa. He has found his range, and is starting to dominate.

Through ten: Ortiz still using his ideal range to dominate.

Through eleven: Prieto mixes up nicely to head and body, landing well. His round.

Through twelve: difficult night for Ortiz, almost fell in the twelfth.

    Ortiz wins by close scores.
