    But it's the very fact that he's a joke that makes him so awesome. He's something entirely different from what boxing's used to - he didn't win his matches by using his skills, but by using the circumstances of the fight :smoke

    Still, though with the quality of the majority of his opponents he really shouldn't have such a LOW KO ratio, especially for someone who held 2 belts :bart

    Just imagine all the other champions in the sport--now insert feather fisted punching power into their arsenal and subtract what they had. Opposite end of the spectrum for a change. How many of those guys can match the career of Ottke with zero power at their disposal? Just how many title defenses would they have?

    when you stop and think about it, having absolute minimal punching power may be the single toughest attribute to overcome in a career. This guy did just that.

    You guys have made a good point about having to overcome his featherfists. While I was never anti Sven Ottke, he was cursed with pillowhands so fair play to him :good

    Ottke overcame it by running all night.. The only thing he had to do was survive the 12 rounds, then he would get the decision by default...

    Ottke's genious was that he was able to put people behind the television screen to sleep with those snoozer fights.
