Anyone else see teh glaring style similarities in this fight??? :think

Jeff Lacy was mega hyped-up like Midget Lisp, they said he a "new Mike Tyson" cos of his style. :deal

Calzaghe was teh underdog (like Ali would be VS Tyson if they were around in their Peaks at teh same time, cos Tinkerbell would get casual fans who like early KO's wet with excitement) and Joe whupped Lacy using a similar style to a 60's Ali IMO. :bbb

It would n't have been quite as easy as Calzaghe's Lacy fight. Ali would have whipped Tyson handily though. Competitive early rounds. Tyson fades after about the seventh and Ali stops him by the tenth.

    Thanks m8. :thumbsup

Im not trying to be insulting to Ali, yes he was better then Joe Calzaghe, But Calzaghe was a Great Boxer too And gets way too much hate these days from idiot casuals saying he was "boring" when he danced around and used flashy flurries to befuddle his foes with speedy slickness. :bbb

With D'Amato Tyson would've stayed undefeated longer than both Ali and Marciano combined!:tong:bbb

Tyson may have remained unbeaten longer than he did, with D'Amato but not for as long as you envisage,Lester. Tyson was n't really made for longevity.

:thumbsup Stumpy-Sluggers like Tyson have to take too many punches on teh way in leaping/charging forward VS tall guys, And all of Midget Lisp's opponents were taller guys. :thumbsup

This would be a competitive fight if Tyson has Cus in his corner. That is key. Cus in one corner and Angelo in Alis.

In the early rounds I think Ali gets the better of Tyson, probably winning three of the first four, popping him with jabs and straight rights. He might even land a couple of good uppercuts on Mike coming in. Tyson wouldn't wilt like some say and it wouldn't surprise me if a hard left hook or more likely a right hand suprises Ali and puts him on the canvas around say the 5th or 6th. Tyson wouldn't finish him though, and the next couple of rounds is where this best version of Ali would be tested. Does he get on his bicycle and stay outside, or does he stand and fight? Tyson gets confident after the knockdown and Cus might have a hard time in the corner, keeping him focused on landing punches and combinations rather than trying to finish Ali. Tyson is still very young at the time and his mind wasn't as mature. Mike would try in frustration to finish him and at the same time Ali recovers quickly. I see Ali taking control after sustaining a bit of a beating. He takes the remainder of the fight winning 9 rounds to 6. Don't think he stops Tyson with Cus in the corner though.
