Cubans are the best of the world- Ronnie Shields

Cuban are definitly amoungst the best, but I'm not ready to say that they are the best in the Pro's just yet.

Cubans are the best amateurs, and I'm happy they're happy about that, but I'm going to be very real with you guys. No one wants to see them box. Cubans barely turn out to see their black warriors (haven't seen one that wasn't black yet) and much less the boxing fans and the casuals that turn up for the money mays, Oscars of the boxing world.

They'll basically be Puerto ricans 2.0 as pros, but without the fan base. Which means, no one cares to fight them.

 

Oh and I tried to watch me some Cuban artistry with Abril, man I was so impressed with how well he held on to Rios. The way he grabbed Rios' left arm 467 times in 12 rounds was nothing short of breathtaking, magnificant.

 

What the hell does it matter if they are black or not? Ever heard of the undefeated Angelo Santana?

Cubans bring great technical boxing to the sport. There is a reason why every year Don Nacho Beristain goes to Cuba and exchanges boxing theory and technique with coaches and trainers from the Island.

 

go on, be stuck in your Mexican ways and not appreciate Cuban artistry.

sorry about that. if he's not Mexican, then the only reason why he can't appreciate Cuban artistry is probably because he has a primitive brain.

 

No apology needed. He just doesn't understand the sport of boxing or is still butt hurt about how bad Abril made Rios look.

Abril does have an ugly style but it's not the typical Cuban style, he thinks all Cubans fight in that fashion. Pure ignorance.

 

Why are you so angry, I did appreciate Cuban artistry. Abril is now one of my favorite boxers. I'm going to the gym this weekend and I'm going to tell my boxing coach to teach me to box like Abril.

I want to learn to be.elusive and hug my opponents, just like Abril.

I'm also going to see if my coach can teach me how to properly grab my opponents arm so that he doesn't hit my face and knock my ass out, which is what would happen.

Can't wait.

La Estrella Franco has lots of potential and is a "fajador". He had a great fight against Leonilo Miranda, full of excitement. I actually had it a draw and would like to see a rematch. :thumbsup

 

Wtf!!?? Where's Abril???

 

Hurtado basically was dominating that fight and Whitaker go the KO. I had the impression though that it had more to do with his glass jaw.

Abril aint one of the top ranking Cubans, but still had enough craftyness to make Rios look like a fool.
